We took apart the intake side, replaced all the orings and crush washers and cleaned everything up.

Been a while since I updated this. Been busy making Cd009 adapter kits that ill be selling on supramania since I am a vendor over there.

Still forward progress. His Wiring specialties harness came in and fit and looks beautiful! Southbend clutch came in and looks fantastic!
Ordered small things to finish off this build before the swap can happen

-timing belt
-pilot bearing
-throwout bearing
-misc hoses
-trans seals
-Vibrant Turbo muffler
-intercooler and piping kit
-Koyo radiator
-Serpentine belt
-Spark plugs
-Also ordered new MB battles 18x9.5 wheels!

should be ready soon to drop this pig in.

More to come!

southbend makes clutches for cars? Guess I never really looked into it that much. I have a southbend twin disc on my cummins 12v. Those bitches grab like no other. I have to start off in low gear then go to first haha.

Very clean setup, looks nice. Half the time cleanliness is more appealing than the parts. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Looking great! The detail work may be tedious but its already paying off. The engine and harness are spot on.

Yes, as you have probably read, we work at a machine shop, ive made a handful of things, im also a vendor on Supramania and ill be selling the kits over there. The idea was to go trans adapter vs engine adapter. In doing so, you will be able to retain the oem bell housing, use Toyota flywheel and pressure plate, slave, throwout. That as no tunnel modifications are going to be needed (for supras). Best of all it will be able to work with 7M or JZ!

Pulled the engine/trans out of the car. Sold to a friend for her s13. Now the fun part; cleaning the engine bay as much as we did the engine itself!

How did everything line up with the zero lift brackets? What mounts did you use? Engine placement looks perfect.

I think only the xcessive mounts claim to be able to use the stock sway bar, i think all the others you need a Sikky or something similar.

Someone in the 2jz swap thread posted a pic of their mounts were off, apparently you have to use different holes rather then where the mounts originally were.

Ya I don't see how that's possible, the pan hit the sway bar and there was still like 2-3' left for the motor to go down, the hood wouldn't even close. Not sure how mounts can be made to clear the sway bar, the motor would sit way to high.

For now were gonna take off the sway bar and try fitment again. The brackets look to be on, but the studs on the oem mounts look offset, if someone were to run a solid motor mount, with straight hole design, I feel like it would push the motor even further back toward the firewall, and i'm not sure if i have the room to do that. Have a link to said posts?

Here's a reference picture:
