My friend Desmond has a S2000. I Like it A LOT. Definately worth the money. He's has it for about a year now. He has Apex-i N-1 Dual Exhaust, Toda Racing flywheel, AEM Cold Air intake, and a Fuel/Pressure Regulator. After all of that is does 13.5 in the 1/4. In appearance we have painted the Calipers Red, Got the stock rims sprayed and cleared Gunmetal, and he has a Fiber images Carbon Fiber hood. It's a very nice car and I would love to have it. More power to anyone who drives a S2000.

I have drove and S2000 mayn time before i even turned 16, I had a rich friend (benefits of private school, and the only one) he let me drive it all the time. I was extremely fun and very smoothe, the VTEC in thouse cars don't kick in ass much as a prelude or so, but still noticable. The thing that always got me is even when taking a turn, even at low speed and not turning hard, exiting the turn the back end would always have a certain type of push on it, like it was almost getting squirley, but it wasn't. Its hard to explain it, do any oy yall else know what im talking about. I'm guessing becuase the spring and stablizer bars where really good it just made it do it naturally.

IIRC, someone interviewed the president of Spoon Sports in Japan...They asked him what his favorite Honda product was. He replied, "The S2000...It's...very fast."

A friend of mine has a 2002 Spa Yellow S2K...It's one helluva car to drive...I don't get where people come off saying it doesn't have enough low end torque for around-town driving. It feels just fine around town, down in the low rpm band. Whenever we're just cruising around town, it's not uncommon to be in 6th gear...sounds strange, but hey...I'm not complaining...hehe.

Oh yeah...I noticed your signature...If you get an S2K, I would try and wait to get a 2002...I think this was the first year for a glass rear window. The plastic rear windows were POOP!

ok ill keep that in mind. i dont plan to have one till 2005 so plenty of time and my opinion might change. it will still be realativly new in 2005 anyway. not like if i were to get a another 300Z going on 15 years old. i hope the s2k doesnt get like a common mustang, camaro thing. i hate common cars. cant go around the block without seeing 5 of them. i love a car people have to look twice to figure out what it is.

any dealership worth a shit will take your DL and photocopy it. so this whole "i won't shave for 9 years and i still look 12yrs old scam really shouldn't work"

Actually, I don't think the S2K will even come close to being a car you see as often as a Mustang...I thought 2003 was the last year for it? Anyone know?

Hopefully nobody got their hopes up on test driving one at the dealership, IT ISN'T ALLOWED!!! When my brother bought his Silver S2K, he had to sign the papers (totally purchase the car) before he got to drive it. His first drive was when he was going home!!! They won't even let you test drive used ones. At least here in Ohio.

If you get an S2K GET THE 2002 Model. It has the glass rear window and a reworked and better 6 sp. tranny, as if the current one isn't good enough.
I drove y brothers friends sliver S2K. I love that car. It handles as well as any non-convertible car because of the the X frame design. Oh ya, it's also FAST~!
I would definately get a S2K if i had 32K.

Ehh...It IS allowed...I don't know what kind of Nazi dealerships you have in OH, but I sure as hell wouldn't purchase a car without driving it first...I'm sure there are dealerships there that will allow test drives. You probably have to put a deposit down or something, but it's all returned when you return their 32,000 dollar car in one piece basically. We had to put a deposit on it the first time we test drove it here...we ended up test driving a 2001 they had that someone traded in. Plus, it was a bonus I knew the salesmen that went with me on the testdrive...I got to lotsa FUN on that test drive...hehe

err i beat on my cousins s2 and have to say that the handling is eerily familiar to that of my s13. tru its more precise and has more grip (like more point and shoot); but very similar over all feel to the car.

the s2k in stock form is a much better drifter than my s13 in stock form. without a doubt.

S2k is a nice car in its own way, but the new Z makes you wonder how they can get such a beautiful car(new Z) at a way more affordable price.

Yeah, I don't know what kind of dealerships you have there, but here you can test drive NSX's if you want to, so I really doubt that they would make an acception for a car worth about 1/3 that of an NSX.

simple............they use a platform that already exists, as well as an engine that is used in about 900 other cars.

But which one would you rather drift. A brand new S2K or a used S13. And IIRC in one of those Option vids they tried to drift an S2k and failed, but then finally did after a bunch of tries, but I guess even the top drifter on the show needs a little practice first. Anyway I still wouldn't drift an S2k. But am waitng for sum rich kid to get an S2k and try to drift it.
