You'll need some pull either way, unless you want to run a stupid amount of camber. I'd slap on some 225/40 up front and 235/40 in the rears.

If he wants to try and not pull then he can go for some 215/35 up front and 225/40 out back....that's the road to low-town though. You've got to be slammed to make that look right.

Hey guys I've searched and haven't found too much info,

I'm about to complete my set of 17x10 +18 on my s14. What's the most tire I can fit while being relatively low and clearing the stock rolled front/rear fenders for track? I'm also looking to run a square set up.

I pm'ed kooki about it and he had 235/40/17 all around. Anyone else try pushing it past this while keeping low? Pics would be great!

I havent even really started research, but saw this thread and figured I'd ask... maybe someone is nice enough to save me a lot of time.

Car: 95 s14 SE (5-lug)
Question: What offset/width/tire width should I run on my car if I want to run 17" wheels with ???/40/R17 tires? I don't want to camber if I can avoid it, and I dont want to use spacers.

Will be on coilovers too, if that matters on these cars... I know I had to put some mustang coilovers on my 88 cougar xr7 to get Cobra R's to fit on the front.

im on 18x10 +18 in the rear with 235/40/18's and i have about 5 mils left between the tire and fender. my car is just lowered on stock arms and tucking about half of the tire. you should be fine running 235/40/17 all the way around.

ok so i need 205/40/17's for my 17x10's. i had Nankang NS2 on, but they just wouldnt seat (at 110psi!!!)

What tire has a soft sidewall so it will seat? ideally id go to 215/40, but then the front raises, and rubs like MAD

EDITx2*** I looked on RIMTUCK.com an the dude in the pic is running 18x10+16 225/40 FRONT and 18x10+24 225/40 REAR
so i was thinking that if i ran 18x10+15 215/40F 18x10+15 225/40 REAR with more camber i could tuck the rears and fit the fronts right??
My main goal is to go with a square setup with AME TM02 and i can only do that with a 18x10+15 in the front. other option is 18x9.5+22 in the front but i dont think that would be as aggressive and have the same deep concave look as the rear.. advice please!!!!!!!!

thanks!!

Diameter 615mm(24.21), 651mm (25.62 inches)

Circumference 1932.1mm , 2045.2mm

Poke 42.6mm , 81.6mm

Inset 122.6mm , 121.6mm

Speedo error 0% , -5.53%

Reading at 30mph 30mph , 28.34mph

Reading at 60mph 60mph , 56.68mph

Ride height gain 0mm , 18mm

Arch gap loss 0mm , 18mm

shouldn't the diameter stay the same if the sidewall and rim size are the same? from 15x6.5 -> 15x8????

I went out and measured it to double check. I have on now, 195/60/15s but the calcu over at will they fit.com says the set up is 24 inches, but I measured it and its 23 1/4" = 584.2mm

so why is the diameter changing if it's the same size rim (height) and sidewall?

I figured with all the guys asking about a x10 +18-20ish setup on here recently I'd post up some info and pics about my new setup on my S14

I'm running 17x10 +20 in the rear with a 235/40R17, fenders rolled, if I had to guess I'd say I'm running somewhere around -2* camber and it is just barely tucking the tire, literally slide a credit card in between the tire and fender.

Up front is another story, I'm running the same 17x10 +20 with a 25mm spacer (-5 effective) with a 215/40R17, roll and pull.. about -5* camber.

Anyways here's pics.

If you were running 9.5 in front, could you go without a spacer?

So I've got some 19" Rays Forged wheels that are 19x8 in the front and 19x8.5 in the rear

+33 offset

225/35/19
245/35/19

What am I gonna need for decent fitment?? Spacers, Pull, Roll, Streched tires?

yeah, I only had to have a 8mm up front to clear the coilover.. I opted for my 25mm for the fitment I wanted.

What are you trying to do with the car? You got 2 options, widest tire setup or most stretch tire setup.

I have 17x10 +25 and I needed 30mm of spacer to clear my coilovers. It's probably 2mm distance from my wheel to spring right now. Maybe less than that, I'm not good at guessing...

For the rear of an s14 trying to stay stock body with no major pull on Meister's. Im assuming
11.5 would be the widest? Also im so confused on the perfect sizing to get the biggest lip.

What are your guys' thoughts on rear overfenders? Should they only be used if your rear quarter panels are effed up or what? I like the idea of being able to run some awesome sized wheels in the rear, like 18x11.5 -12 with some 265/35r18 tires or something, but I just don't know if I'd be able to handle destroying some perfectly good metal fenders to do this. For those of you who have rear overfenders, did you destroy your perfectly good metal fenders or were they already effed up? Should I just get some normal sized wheels and wait for something to happen to my fenders in a drifting accident or something? lol. Or should I just get some fenders and wheels and start hacking away at some perfect metal fenders for the sake of wheel fitment?

BTW if I did get overfenders, I would do: F: 20mm 18x9.5 -10 225/35r18 , R: 50mm 18x11.5 -12 265/35r18
Are these sizes legit?

Widest tire most likely... A lot of unavoidable potholes on some of our side streets I drive regularly. Basically unless you are driving with your tires in the center of 2 lanes for mile long stretches, it feels like your driving on a desert prerunner course.

Similar to this, so I dont want to stretch them too much because the lips will get ate up.

hows it goin everyone?
not particularily new to s chassis, or having them stupid low. But, I want a little advice for my new set up.

Currently im running stock 1997 240sx le, with JIC coilovers. I recently picked up some gram light 57d 18x9.5 +12. I havent picked up any rubber yet.

Got the wheels, got excited, did some test fitting, hated how the wheel looked on stock fenders, put in a little bit of work, a 20mm spacer, and here is how the current result is in the rear:

so my question is, what do you think? haha, and im not sure about tire sizing yet. Everyone I know gives me shit for not going with 235/35/18,
but I'd like to go with a little bit bigger of a tire at 235/40/18.

Edit: No, I didnt use a basebal bat. Powered by max fender roller. Best purchase ever.

Thanks.

Are you going for stretch look or what? 235 40 will be tall and narrow, you'd be better off with a 245 35 or the like, also depends on how much rear camber you want/are willing to run

High offset + narrow wheels = crappy fitment. You need 9 inch wide wheels at least, if you are looking for the flush look

should be able to if you run like 225/40's all the way around. maybe some fk452's just to make sure you clear in the front.

I would think that it would be common sense that a 16" tire would not fit on a 15" rim, apparently not.

Thanks.

I would go with a 225.35.18 just bc its a 9 make it look streach.
