CA smog questions

Hey guys, upon reading many old posts about using a 100k ohm resistor to bypass the EGR temp sensor for Code 32, will this pass the CA smog test? Or does it only gets rid of the CEL.

I have the sensor wires taped together with the plug + resistor still, so visually it looks normal. 15 miles in, the CEL hasn't turned on yet. (Or at all hopefully.) Thanks in advance.

If your car was a 2000 or newer this would work. Unfortunately in your case the vehicle will be subjected to a dynometer test with live tail pipe emissions readings. If the CEL turns on at any point its an automatic fail. There is a good chance you could pass if its only a temp sensor problem.
