Brought the car by MA-Motorsports, and found the bad news that it was running on 3 cylinders. They took care of that, resealed all turbo leaks, and replaced some broken lines and the slave cylinder. $1800 later, the motor is strong, no turbo leaks, re tuned, better more reliable clutch, temperature sensors hooked up for the oil n coolant temp gauges.

Brown wire cut, can have sleepy eyes when I drive around or park. Works well but makes the light motors act funny so I dont mess with it anymore because I dont want my lights to fail when I need them.

Bought new Hood Pins and a soft spring for the Blitz Super Sound BOV

soft spring install got messier than anticipated...

Wheels plasti-dipped white. Hood is wet so it looks really good (how it will look when re-clear coated) but the water makes the clear coat look clear again. Dry, the hood is foggy and white/opaque.

Bought some mexican blankets to clean up the worn and pilled back seats. wrapped under the seats, and screwed into the trunk liners bar.

Yea thats the "kinda" part of the title. I just want a place to log all my work and money put into the car. I've only had the car a month and am on my part time job as a budget, so hopefully this summer a lot more work and money can be put in to make this more of a transformation.

Zilvia doesn't allow builds that are just being started or are simply used to log in work being done. If you need a forum to do this, try NICO.

However, if you finish the car or are nearing completion from where you want it to be, you can make a new thread because this thread will get locked up.

This morning, got up, got ready for school. Went out, started up my car (started pefectly, everything normal). Drive from my house to school which is 3 blocks away, maybe 3/4 a mile. Im pulling up to the parking lot, rev match down into 2nd (so rpms are high) and then push in the clutch to stop to let a girl cross in the cross walk. Car Stalls. "ok just my rpm's dropping low since they were high and stalling like it does sometimes" turn the key, nothing. turn the key nothing. so im sitting in the middle of the fucking road like an idiot blocking assloads of cars trying to get into the lot. Cannot figure out what the hell is wrong. My initial though when i heard the motor try to start was "sounds like its seized up". Get help from some friends and a cop and pushed her into the lot, parked it for the day, ran into school.

Come out of school, gasoline dripping on the ground. FUEL DRIPPING FROM THROTTLE BODY AND BOV. what the fuck?!?! no idea whats going on. My dad came and we looked at it and had no idea what was going on. Got it towed to MA, after talking to them over the phone. I have had my car less than 5 days since i picked it up from them, so i figured they would help me out if it was something they fucked up.
Towed to MA, Carl and John are baffled. Carl takes off the intercooler piping from the throttle body and the entire throttle body is filled with gasoline. fuel puddle splashes on the floor. Everyones like WTF is going on. Spark plugs soaked in fuel. everything soaked in fuel.

Conclusion. Motor is hydro seized. Could have bent a rod trying to start it if a cylinder was filled with fuel. Now that I paid $100 to tow it there, I have about $0.00 to pay for the repairs. Most likely, I wont be seeing my car for a while.

Pretty fucking bummed out.

My injectors took a shit on my motor, all fuel pressure trying to be built up was just dumping into my cylinders. Im assuming the intake valves were open (in 2 of the cylinders i guess) and thats how the fuel filled my intake manifold, through my throttle body, down the cold pipe, into the intercooler. Got it towed to MA and they were really shocked. They had mentioned new injectors in the near future but they didnt expect them to go to shit in 4 days. I had ran the 18psi setting friday when i just picked up the car, had my fun, then had it on "off" or stock boost for the rest of the time until it broke. The tune was done at MA on their dyno and whatever tuning system they have there.

In Conclusion:

New Tomei 740cc Injectors
New Blitz SS VD BOV (since my current bov still creates some turbo flutter, even with the soft spring installed)

these plus the labor of cleaning out and drying the motor, and the new tune is around $1300, which isnt too bad considering the parts are near $900.

Im hoping the new injectors will relieve the stalling issue, guessing that the stalling and low rpm's when in neutral were caused by the injectors being inconsistent and temporarily filling the cylinder with too much fuel. kinda a guess but i think that might be a possibility.

Hopefully once I pay back my debts these repairs have strapped on me, I can begin to make advances in upgrading and cleaning up the car.
