To all you fellow 240SX drivers and speed racers:
Yesterday when I was coming home from Southwestern College (Chula Vista, Ca) A collision occured where a Nissan 200sx SE-R slam against a Van when he was racing against Toyata Truck filled with girls. There were innocent people that were injured even children and two of the three people in the SE-R were killed.
I knew one of the people killed. The driver is being charged with manslaughter.
I know this type of things happen everyday, but please be aware that innocent children in other cars are at stake when we speed.

im sorry to hear that

i dont think i'll be any racing on the streets at all this year, partly because my car is not fast, but mostly cause i'd hate to be responsible for something like that.

It's inexperienced drivers who take risks and cause such events to take place. I'm really sorry this happened.

I've seen some racing accidents, some even just showboating.  A guy on a new motorcycle see's me in my old CRX and decides to show me up or something... anyway, he does a wheely through a green light intersection, and proceeds to show me how fast he can go by beating the next like before it turns.  He showed me alright... then I saw him run straight into a car coming off of the beltline.  There are very few roads Ill race on here where I live (madison, wi).  I still have friends that like racing on busy roads, and it drives me insane.

Keep it off the streets.... Granted, I've done my fair share of street racing in the past, I now try to avoid it as much as possible. Just remember if you're carrying passengers, that you're responsible for them too.
