so I got a 240, 91 hatch. 5spd. I am selling my subaru and want to do something to the 240 that you never see. I will not do an sr20, RB, or KA-t. been done and done again. I will also not put a domestic V8 in an import. that is the most irritating thing i have ever seen. I saw a 350z with a LS1 chevy in it. WTF?
anyhow, lets get some ideas.

If you want to do something different, then decide for yourself. Basically what you'll learn though is, there is no different. There's what works, and what doesn't. I'm building the car I want to build. You want originality, look at the driver, not the car. Don't try so hard to be different. Just build a car you'll be happy with. Perhaps a 240sx was the wrong choice of cars for you.

being different has already been done. the only way to be unique now is to make an exact copy of an already-built car. i dunno anyone who has done that yet.

so find your favorite 240 and build and exact copy of it.

Do you even have the huge sums of $ it takes to be different? It's all been done before, I guess put a subaru engine in there with an awd tranny, I think that would be "different". Or put a B18 in the car and make it FWD, that would be different all right.

or find rb26 front end use the xmember and stuff so you can put a honda type-r motor in there.

one thing i havent seen yet...
cut a big hole in the floor and do it up fred flinstone style... you want more power .. work out

make a targa top, no ones done that.. or convert it to a wagon, shouldnt be too hard, ive seen it done to a fd rx7 long time ago.

^Targa has been done to at least one 180sx in Japan, T-tops have been done as well.

Yeah...how can you ask other people ideas on doing something different? If someone tells you about something that's "different" and actually works, they themselves have probably done it or know someone who has. If you want something no one else has done then you probably shouldn't ask other people.

make an adapter plate and drop in an F20C motor with a SC. Crazy RPMs, low torque, so so HP but you can say its unique, and be sure to use the guage cluster.

been done before
so has a limo S13
and a guy on the boards had a jacked up S13 with mudding tires until he rolled it (not near as high as that Z though)
