I just keep scouring online at WalMart's site to see what they have in stock. They're usually pretty accurate. Scored a 420 round can of Federal XM855 about a month ago, and my roommate snatched up 3 of the .223 Federal 100rd value packs that they sell for $35/ea.

Does anyone participate in shooting competitions? I had the chance to enter a local .22 lr competition over the weekend and had a great time! Some guys were posting times of less than 6 seconds to hit 9 different targets. A friend let me borrow his Ruger 10/22 take down, damn I'm itching for one now!

I'll be honest, I laughed at the idea of competing with a 22 lr, but now I may be addicted. With nothing more than a $35 red dot optic I was on target with very few misses. Cheapest fun I've ever had.

From what I understand, the second they cash a check for a tax stamp or withdraw funds electronically then you're golden. Put that short barrel on that rifle, mount that suppressor, because you win the interwebs!

Good to hear, man.
As for competition, I really wanna start doing some 3 Gun, but none of my gear is really suited for it. Sig 556 with iron sights and a pistol grip shotgun aren't exactly preferred, haha. I'm more concerned about using those guns for a general purpose, not outfitting them to do only one thing, ya know?

I'm in the same boat. I have shot for years but I finally just went and bought some handgun permits. I know I like 1911's the best for range time but it's expensive to shot .45 all day. They have some .22 "1911" guns at the range though and I looked at those. I just don't know.

Well I don't feel as bad about my ammo situation, after going to the range and spending about 250 rounds. I found two places locally that have 223-5.56 on the shelf and aren't regulating quantities. . .
Picked up some PMC X-Tac for $9.99 per box of 20 as well as PMC bronze 223 for $10.99 per box. Glad to see shelves start getting stocked again! |

Actually, you can't even pick up the Supressor until you have the stamp, you're not allowed to possess it until you have your stamp back, the shop won't even give it to you. So from everything I understand and have read on the ATF, I am not allowed to manufacture an SBR until I have the receiver engraved and the stamp in my possession.

Welcome to the 556 club.

You really need to think about what the rifle's purpose is. EDIT: The one thing I forgot to mention. Make sure the rifle is chambered in 5.56NATO. That way it can also shoot .223 Remington. If it's only chambered in .223 Rem, you're stuck with that.

he seems to be shouldering that 870 as if it were a bolt rifle...? speaking of bolt rifles, we've got something nice coming out for the 300winmag commune.

I've seen the story reported on probably 50 times from different gun forums and gun news site. The story is that it's real life SWAT one time, and that it's from Batman the next.
I like to think it's from a movie set because otherwise, these are the kind of people the left wants armed instead of us |

Its a polymer lower which makes it super light weight, and to my surprise is my first rifle i choose in a bad situation (this is over my keltec and rra left-t) Im located in so cal and will be selling this rifle 100% legally, meeting at my local gun store to have them help with paperwork. $300 obo please offer Last edited by Dagostino480; 03-23-2013 at 01:22 AM.. |
