I had the tach die in my kouki a while back. I just swapped tachs... they are interchangeable and it's not that hard to pop the needle off.

After reading the entire 249 page thread from start to finish (while at work) I have to say there are some pretty nice interiors and the gas to the gauge in the car debate was absolutely hilarious. However Broadfield I was wondering if that SEM Chipguard could be used on the dashboard itself to redo them if they have cracks already? The cracks would have to be filled with slicone or another smoothing agent I would think, but is that material flexible?

Actually, all of their gauges are "kind of" like that. Each gauge will have three pigtails coming off of it. One plug is for the sensor harness. The second plug is for the power/ground connections and the third plug is for the dimmer controller. When you buy a set of four gauges or more, Speedhut will include a Y-harness for the power connections and a Y-harness for the dimmer connections. Each Y will have enough ports for all of the gauges. So you are only tapping the power/ground connections once into the Y, then it will have enough plugs to plug into all of the gauges... same with the dimmer controller. You tap the signal for the dimmer controller from your parking light wire and then it just Y's off with plugs to each gauge. This is the power/ground Y connector for example:
