Thanks pimp. Much appreciated.
But try not to laugh too hard at my car because of the state it's in as it's no where as good as yours. Maybe one day it will.... That's the plan anyway.

Much appreciated pimp.
I know I'll be doing it at Stew's Self Service Garage in Kirkland because there is no way I'm going to be crawling on my garage floor and as we all know, the more helping hands available, the better and faster it can be done. In terms of when, I'm thinking towards the end of the month, may be early November. Last winter was spent getting the car relatively drive-able, Redmond to Bremerton and back without any issues. So this winter is going to be spent finishing everything up and hopefully getting the car looking half as good as some of the baller, non stanced, non accordion bodied S14's I've seen.

Yeh, he's cool.
I'm was actually thinking about buying his car and rebuilding it, but I talked myself out of it....lol But I'm with you on that one. I don't see how a drift car can turn into a drag car with serious suspension work. But it's not my car, so ......

Should and what happens with me are two very different things....lol
It really doesn't look that hard, but because I'm doing this for the first time on this car, I'll be taking my time. We'll see how it goes.

Like I said earlier, let me know if I can lend a hand. The only tricky part is getting the steering column back on straight. It helps to have someone in the car keeping the steering wheel even.

Got new wheels for the DD, gonna test fit them on the type x at some point [emoji23] Had to polish the shit out of the faces due to the clear coat being in very bad shape, hoping that with some wheel wax the raw aluminum doesn't oxidize like crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Maybe another week or two. I need to buy a pair of tires and figure out how I want to pull some metal, whether it be with a fender roller, phone book pull or baseball bat [emoji32] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Need to lower the rear a little bit then the car is pretty much done being modified. Hoping to do a 90k on the s13 soon, I don't think it's had any major maintenance since the SR was put in 5-6 years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yea The VTC cam maybe tricky but we will see. I've read you can essentially delete it with early SR cams because it only comes on notch top SRs. lol I should just do some tomei pon cams while I'm in there [emoji848]

They are pretty straight forward although the suspension is a little weird compared to an s chassis. But like all cars once you work on them enough things start to get easier. Biggest headache so far was replacing a wheel bearing in the rear twice; you have to remove all the suspension arms because the bearing is a part of the spindle itself, not independent like my s13 [emoji30]. I was looking at nismo mounts but think I may go with P2M mounts. Everything I've bought from them has been top notch and very affordable [emoji108] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Right on, doesn't sound too bad. I still throw around the idea of dailying an older Lexus sedan. They seem so comfortable
Ouch. I've actually had to replace the same wheel bearing twice on my S14 too haha. First time we had to use a cutting wheel lol. P2M has been around awhile, I bet they make good stuff. Keep in mind those mounts will lower the motor a little though, and I think you said you wanted to raise it in a previous post. |

Yeah I swear I've heard the main reason why Nismo mounts raise the motor is because 25 year old mounts usually have no lift left in them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by S30ZG; 10-31-2016 at 11:20 AM.. |
