HUD doesn't work please help

I have an 89 coupe with a 98 SR S13 blacktop. Since the swap the HUD has not came on. Even the digital speedo in the cluster doesn't work. This really sucks. Can anyone help? Any help would be great thanks. my email is [email protected] or just post a reply.

your tach shouldn't work either. You need to use the ka speed sensor, if I remember correctly, for the speedo to work, and the 91 and up tach (but you should get a HUD one, the analog tachs don't swap directly into the huds without changing the face and needle, which is a pain in the ass).
So if you could get a 91 up hud cluster that would be the easiest.
But anyway that should work, if your HUD unit is still functioning.

I changed out the tach last night so it works(not to bad useed the tach from my clip and only cut a very small amount) but the speedo has not worked since the swap. Even if the speed sensor was wrong wouldn't the digital speedo still light up?

yes it would light up, it would just read 0. Sounds like it just may have been coincedental that it died while you swapped.

methinks that may be correct. Either that or you cut something you shouldn't have.
Huds come and go. Try swapping the HUD and see if your problem goes away.
