This is a dumb question but when you put on wheels like 18x10s and things, do you have to get longer studs etc?

Hawk Performance Pads on 300zx front calipers squealing?

I had ebc red stuff pads on the front of my s13 in my 300zx calipers (nissan oem in the rear). They weren't squealing at all. I also have hawk pads in all four calipers on my s13 with stock brakes. They also are not squealing. Do these need longer to break in or something? I don't understand why they're squealing when my previous one's weren't and I installed the same way. Maybe I should get the rotors recut again (stock 300z rotors)? Thanks in advance.

Seat / Seat Rail Question

I have an S13 passenger seat but my driver seat snapped in half - can I just use the passenger seat and put on the driver side rails? Will that work for a driver seat until I finish my build?

Anyway to answer my own question through my own 20 minutes of work - no you cannot swap the rails over from the driver seat to the passenger seat because they purposely put the bolts in the wrong spots just so you couldn't on the S13 anyway.

No the rim thickness is fairly standards. However, depending on the off-set, wheel size and wheel width they may or may not fit your car.

I may be wrong, but I don't think 10 inch wheels will fit a stock 240sx.

you dont swap the rails, you swap the padding. theres 4 bolts holding the 'back' portion onto the rail. theres about 4 bolts holding the 'bottom' portion to the rail.

Oh ok. Yeah thats what I thought but then I read about people needing longer brackets and shit so I got confused.

I always thought that all you need were coilovers, rucas, and some fender work to fit badass wheels lol

stock s14 i just got up and running today seems to have a BHG. radiator buldged out, cap has 0 pressure and overheating. But the coolant is still green (in radiator and block) I'm guessing it just has not got bad enough to mix yet?

Ok, so.. engine mounts.

I have the mounts in my 240sx from when I pulled the KA, my SR came with the mounts still attached to the engine brackets.

How the @#%k do you get these off? I don't even remember how the KA came out, but it was without any ordeal. I pulled the bracket off the intake side of the SR and got the mount off. However to pull the exhaust side bracket, I'd have to pull the turbo/manifold. I'd rather not.

Now I have no @#%king idea how to get the mounts off the k-member short of dropping the K-member. I just got all the suspension back in, and rather not. Am I doomed to finding a GIANT 14mm open wrench???
