the kakimoto is 3 inch straight pipping with a 5 inch tip, it sounds bad ass but i,m not trying to bring so much attention to myself. its the only reason i want to change the muffler out.

maybe you should just add a resonator to it? changing the tip isn't going to alter it being loud that much because it's still straight pipe.

Alright, I did a little searching before I wanted to ask here and couldn't find much except for info for an s14. I'm curious if an aftermarket delete option was made for the s13 hatchback/fastbacks. Wuoldn't even have to be carbon fiber, just something that would make it nice and flush with a factory look. If anyone knows of anything, thanks in advance once again for letting me know.

Sorry Dalaz_86, I had a retard moment right there. I meant to ask if there was a delete option for the sunroof on the hatchback models. I can see where what I said wouldn't make any sense.

is there anyway to remove the mines daughter board on a "mines tuned" ecu and have the ecu act like stock again. I got a mines ecu and have no clue what tune is on it so I hate to find out the hard way that it wasn't set up for a stock sr.

the closest thing to a moonroof delete is

doens't necessarily delete it, but it covers the glass.

i've also seen someone get sheet metal, cut it to shape, and rivet it over the opening.

Just plug it in and baby it while you monitor afr's (if you have a way to monitor them anyway)

As long as you dont drive it like a dickhead you'll be fine.

If the mines ECU is from japan and tuned in japan... you probably wont want to use it; unless you can get high octane in your area.

I believe (dont quote me) you can change the jumper on the ecu and it wont read from the daughter board. i forgot what jumpers you change.

Use that heat sticker stuff, I literally cannot remember what its called, but its essentially sticker wrap that is heat resistant, usually its gold in color but I think they have black and silver now.

Honestly, I don't think it will hurt anything. Assuming you are running it on an sr or whatever japanese engine you have, it is already programmed for it so it should be fine. Since you are worried about it though I suggest you watch knock too.

Welcome to the beginning of the internet. I realize this may be a bit confusing, but quit dragging this misconception around.

Japan uses a different Octane rating system. 93 octane on JDM tunes is fine.

If you really want to learn, google RON Octane Rating vs. AKI vs. MON vs. what we use (RON+MON/2).

Better yet, here.

Is it okay to jack up the front or rear lower control arms? I'll be needing to raise the hub area to mount coilovers that are re-adjusted for a lower ride height setting, but the FSM says not to use a jack on the lower control arm.

Yes you can. Just dont jack it up from a part that can get damaged or bent.

We just did this last week with no problems

If the spark plug was threaded in wrong you need to take the head off and rethread it......if you cant do that then you will need a new head....

They make tools to "straighten out" messed up threads. It's a last ditch effort but it might save you from having to get a new head. Go to any generic auto shop and ask for a thread chaser (I believe that is the correct name). You will just need to know the thread pitch of your spark plugs.

Calm down Susie,
He wasnt rude at all and actually gave you a lot of pertinent information in regards to your question.

Just sell your mines ecu to someone that know what they are doing and get stock ecu, or trade someone with a stock ecu and have the throw cash on top.

Or figure out a way to contact Mines and find out the what the daughter is tuned for. All mines ecus have a Mines number on them. Im sure its just a "step up" like most of the ecus that end up over here. Need me to explain what that is too?

They are meshed together. The emissions and vacuum lines keep the engine running properly. The engine efficiency decreases with the removal of the EGR system. If it's your daily, you shouldn't mess with it.

Okay, i'm tired of searching around... What exactly do I need to run powersteering on my 89 coupe with a SR redtop. All it has now is one belt turning the water pump and alternator, and a looped rack. I've heard theres different pumps you can use too. So i'm basically looking for a full list of what i'll need. Thanks.

I spoke to him at VIR last year but I would like to know more about the car.

Any build threads?
