found a 95 240 SX SE 77k here in OK goin for 4k.  going to call my mom/step-dad first to tell them about it.  then I may call it in myself as well.  what are some proper questions to ask.  first time to do this...lemme put down what I'm going to ask and then you guys put what I left out.  make sure it's a 95 and SE. make sure it's actually got 77k on it.  interior color (cloth or leather) exterior paint (how good condition it's in)  what has been replaced what needs to be replaced so on so forth.  wear/tread on tires, how much is left (%) auto/stick?  etc...leave anything that I should ask out? if so tell me now, thanks a lot guys

well the guys not gonna tell you if it was in an accident especially if he didnt fix it right.  I say you go to vehix.com.  you can type in the vin number and for i think 25 bucks they give you a full report on the car.  they can even tell you if the odometer has been messed with (ex. rolling back the miles)  in a 95 you should expect some flaws in the paint  but nothing major.  a small ding on the door or a scuff in the paint is normal for a six year old car.  the interior should be in good condition like few to no stains in the carpet but once again the occasional stain will apear.  and you can also deduct from the total price by pointing them out.  theres just too many variables for me too tell you all of them

Well. &nbsp; In Florida, it is a crime to not tell someone if it has been into an accident. &nbsp;I would ask how routinely he maintanenced it.

Zexel, it sounds like you're on the right track to find out as much as you can about the car. &nbsp;Like Jeff said, definitely ask about the routine maintenance--when was the last oil change, how often did he change the oil, have the brakes been replaced (recently?), has the tranny been serviced (if it's an auto), has the clutch been replaced (if 5-speed), etc. &nbsp; That's the most important things to find out. &nbsp; And of course, see if he'll tell you anything about previous accidents, oil leaks, etc.

Good luck!

Yes definitely check if the clutch has been replaced! &nbsp;Check the condition of &nbsp;it. &nbsp;A week after I bought my 95 240sx se, the clutch blew while I was on the highway. &nbsp;Luckily I was able to merge to the emergency lane, but I was left stranded without a cell phone. &nbsp;I had to walk a couple of miles to get to the nearest building with phone. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
