I'm pretty short at 5'8" so I can't relate...but I can tell you that aftermarket seats are generally gonna sit higher than the stock ones.

Well...it's more the brackets than the seats. At least, that's what I've always heard. Most aftermarket seat brackets cause the seat to sit higher. Maybe you could fabricate something to make it lower?

I have no clue what you'll find aftermarket, but if you find something good many of us s13 owners would love to buy your old seats off of you :-)

I've never tried modifying the bracket, but the seats are easy enough to take out. Four bolts, one at each corner. Pop those off and the seat comes right out. You may need to remove some plastic covers to get to them.

i don't know what type of seats you have, but i am 6'3" with an s14, i have no problems. in fact i have more room in my car than most others. of course my driver seat touches the back seat, but still something is wrong with your seats!

I'm 6'4" and my s14 has a sunroof. Even with the seat all the way back and really reclined, my head touches. I'll probably try and lower mine sometime this week.

Just take your seat all together, and sit on the floor, or the backseat!
