Anything wrong with running those LED headlights on my track car? One of the tracks we drift at in Phoenix (WHMP West Track) is super dark at night since it hardly has lighting. There's never any oncoming traffic so why not?

I'm surprised you didn't go for the "square" q5 replica projectors in brick lights. In older lights they can look really good. Here's a set I did in a 1st gen trooper

We deal with the retrofit source through work, and the mini h1's have been fitted before, so i wanted to do a safe bet for my first ever retrofit. |

Some time on youtube, and creativeness, and you could have a simple board with straight row'd normal LEDS for less than $100 for both lights, out of pre-made board. When you start surface mounting (SMD) and doing round things, then things get more expensive. Its kind of disgusting how much overhead the simple led lights have. The pattern flashing ones are a little different but same principle, if you have a nerd friend who codes, you can get that done ez pz, I'm a studying engineering technologist computer/mechanical, I had to make the knight rider LED for a project.

The only thing I regret about it is waiting so long to do this and actually stressing about it. Fuckin, cut em up.
Theres a dude on YAJ who has premade boards for coupe tails, blinker and i think reverse lights seperate, I almost bit the bullet, but theyre like $90 a pair before shipping and I have no idea how to wire or mount them. |

Gentlemen,
Im looking for lighting ideas. My interior is very dark at night, the only thing alit is my cluster which Ive installed LEDs into but the lighting is inadequate to see anything else. I was thinking if I could get my hands on one of those Halo LED headlight lights, I could mount it under the shifter and illuminate that; since it is an amber acrylic I would guess it would act like a lamp. My shifter is about 30mm in diameter at the bottom. My issue is that I cant find a circular strip of LEDs with a red/black wire that is 30mm in diameter. Hence, Im here asking for better ideas. |
