Hey! I found what I was telling you about at the meet up in Niles. The aftermarket HUD unit from Defi. Check out the link. And it's a helluva lot cheaper than the factory unit!

She said her HUD will turn on for a little bit right after starting the car, then it just shuts off...I don't know much about the HUD units since I have an S14...Although I thought about getting a Defi unit. Pretty cool...

My HUD is working fine. What isn't working is the speedo itself. So, I don't think that would help me any at all, thanks so much for the info.
I found this performance meter for $120.00; I just might buy that. What's your solution, drifter? (Thanks, Chris, I appreciate it very much!) |

I think it has to do with the little bulbs. Now they don't come on at all anymore. The speedo used to work for five seconds, and if I let the car roll, it would move (0-1-2-3-4) and by then it would shut off. Now it doesn't even do that anymore.

Is that performance meter you're talking about the A'pexi rev/speed meter? If so, the install is rather easy. We could probably make a meet of it. Just let me know if you plan on getting it...

s13 girtl my hud was intermittent and it was a open in the wire you can easily run a whole new wire all the way to the dash or find between where the open is. thats what i did. or check the speedo gear then the voltage on the speedo itself it should be 0.5v a.c on a voltometer. its easy and a kwik fix didnt take me long to fix it it's just trouble shooting.

You're also a certified Nissan Mechanic, and I'm not.
Haha, S14Guy is my boyfriend, so he's already met Chris. Sorry, guys, I've ruined your little Jerry Springer Car-parts story. (WTF?!?!) Chris, I honestly have no idea when our next meet will be. Unless you're coming to Chicago for whatever reason and you wanna meet up with me and Mike, and other peeople with 240s, you shouldn't worry about it. Thanks so much for offering to help though . |

Hahah...that's what I was talking about. All these crazies on Zilvia are wantin' to see some crazy Springer stuff goin' on! HEHE...I'll most likely be up to Chicago before the next actual meet is, so I'll email either you or Mike and get ahold of you before I come up...Maybe meet up and go eat some greasy ass gyros again...HAHAHA My heart is kickin' me in the ass for that night... Usually if I go up there Rob tags along for the drive, so we can all go chill somewhere. What area of Chicago are you two in?

Mike lives about two minutes from where we ate Gyros (definitely greasy, but good!), and I live all the way at the lake, by Loyola University. It takes me about 10-15 minutes to get to where we were from my house. . Definitely let me know if you guys are coming, I check my email more often than Mike. Thanks so much!

That's a good deal, Grant.
Camppain, when do you plan on opening your own shop? It would be hard to open up a net-based shop that will have SRs. What do you plan to do? |

it wont really be hard just a loota $$$$
well anything is hard it just needs dedication and good customer service. i would focus on the cust serv mainly to build a rep and stay with that. a shop would probably be in the future maybe ultimate silvia or se-r i dunno |
