SSR Professors look like Works because they actually emulated the design of the Work Meister S1 wheels. Work also produced the Termist SC1 which uses a similar mold as the Meister S1 (which is why they look alike). Main difference between the Meister and Termist is that the Termists had set wheel barrel sizes, limiting the number of available offsets. But even that is changing now that Work has released their "Reloaded" line of Termists, which locate the face anywhere along the barrel for totally custom offsets. Unfortunately, the Termist SC1s have just been discontinued.
BTW, between the SSR Professor SP1s and Work Meister S1s, you'd be better off getting the Meisters because: 1) you can get the Works in almost ANY offset (the Professors are limited to just a few dozen set fitments), 2) the Works have a greater selection of disk sizes for brake clearance tuning, and 3) offset-for-offset, the Works have a deeper lip than the SSRs!

Thanks for the heads up man...that being said though, didn't another poster (Ieatrice) just state they were NLA (I'm assuming that means No Longer Available)?? And the Works only come in the polished no...I really want the black w/ polished lip.

And what about price comparison....are they comparible in price??

JH and I are basically the same person man... not really but you'll get the same response from us. And if you look he does say that the S1C's are discontinued/NLA. Works do notonly come in polished lip. If you look at their site you'll find that you can fully customize your wheel pretty much if you get a Meister S1. If you want black with polished lip... that's easy... just ask come up with the funds and we can help you out.

Meister S1's are priced high... but you get what you pay for and you gotta pay to play. Email or PM me with what you're looking for and I can get you a quote.

Not really diggin the step in the lip.. I like them smoother, and more flat..

Sweet wheels though.. they are cooler than your car.
