The next fad?!?
I am thinking it's going to go to German automobiles, more VW,Audi, Mercs BMW's. As these kids ,who loved imports growing up, get older they are going to buy more expensive cool rides. Thats where the Germans come in, lots oh money and lots of class. I think the emphisis will be more on style and speed rather than just all out god awful speed. There will still be the hard core groups of drifters and street racers but whats left should be the cream of the crop. My opinion

I think it's already happened........
I know that I will be modding my cars all my life. But when I'm 40 years old I'm not going to go out and buy a Honda, I'll be buying nicer cars with more "class" and "style." It already goes on.... -Adam

Well I don't think this will be a new fad by any means there is already a huge euro fanbase. I recently purchased a 91 Audi Coupe Quattro and thought it would be such a cool car, but the thing was a pain in the ass to work on and parts cost so much money. If you think 240 parts (aftermarket or OEM) are expensive go buy parts for some wild german car and then have fun. That is just my opinion and I don't think euro cars are anything new.

I really like the design and style of german cars but the reliability and cost of parts sux. I have not owned one yet (On my 5th car now) and dont plan on owning one anytime soon.

Instead of kids yammering about an SR swap, they'll want RB's and 5spds swapped into their Q45s, or 1JZs into LS400s, etc... VIP tuning rules, too bad we didn't get the JZX100. |

So am I the only one that thinks front mount oil coolers with 3 feet of extra neon hose are going to be the next big thing?
Shiet. I better take that crap off before anyone sees...

euro craze has been huge in my area for a long time now.
Mid atlantic region is the hub of VW enthusiasts in America. I live within 15 minutes of 2 of the most renowned shops in the country... NGP and Eastside (both have magazine cars like every other fuckin month) and on a side note.... my 4 door 8V golf (1996) is one of the most reliable cars I've ever seen. |
