Definitely put your original vin plate on your new dash, paint the rivets black too. If you do not do this a ) you will get in trouble, b ) the next person that register's your car (at least in az) gets to register it as a "re-manufactured" vehicle with a new az vin number. I have one of these vehicles and it gives me sort of a loop hole with the whole sr thing in case they ever start cracking down on them here in AZ.
