What is the best way to attach an SMD LED panel to the back of a lens?
Is there any sort of a clear adhesive that can be applied, without obstructing the light output?
If possible I would prefer something that can still be removed if desired, without damaging the lens or the LED's.

I know there's a write up to do the l.e.d type x signal light conversion but can't find it. Can anyone help me out? In the write up they converted the position lights into signal lights.

just gives you an idea of the pricing for LED work from Japan. However, Yuuki is also throwing in sequential lighting set-up and provides the core as well.

I wetsanded everything, applied a candy coat over the orange lens, then I cleared the whole thing (including the black trim). Makes it look better than new.

Sounds simple enough and it does look much better than stock. I am still trying to figure out how to open them up for a LED mod. Guess I am just being a chicken scared ass for messing them up.

Yes, what would you like to know about it? It uses 2 12volt regs to power a single strip of LEDs to function both as a drl and a blinker.

I've opened up a set before to make them red/clear but that was like 9 years ago. The easiest way to remove the lenses is to heat it in the oven @ 250* for probably 10 minutes while watching it closely then carefully work around the edge to break the seal and pry it out. Be sure to unscrew the lens from the back of the housing first though.

installed a FD "style" 3rd brake light and front windshield light on a friends s13. also threw a switch on the front windshield brake light to keep off while driving around town, then on while at the track.

unfortunately no. maybe sometime in the future though? i've gotta spare set of zenki s14 lights that i'm working with on the side that i might throw up for sale when completed. those will probably have the full brake, turn, reverse and center panels to coincide with the brakes.
