I can understand why sooo many people hate hondas. there are ALOT of riced out hondas around bcuz they are soo cheap and have tons of aftermarket support, but not all of them are ricey. Also alot of the drivers are fukin fags. not all gay drivers only drive hondas, some of them drive nissans too. But for those who think they are ALL slow you are right and wrong. stock, the hondas and acuras got us, except for the crappy ones of course. Vtec is VERY helpful even if it kicks in at 5500rpm which doesnt take long at all to get to.

You can never be too careful around a honda bcuz there are alot of sleepers around and will spank you if u mess with them. I mean there are some REALLY REALLY mean hondas. My friends 1995 Civic Si hatch is a sleeper. he has a 1999 GSR motor with intake and exhaust. He just got a turbo for it and will be on within a month. he will spank almost all 240's and many many other cars. there are also a few civics and tegs aroung here that do the quarter in the 11's.

I AM NOT TRYING TO PUT DOWN THE 240'S OR ANY NISSAN.
All i am asking for is to show some respect for hondas and acuras. if it is a ricer than you can hate it and talk all the crap about it. if the driver is gay then you can definately hate him/her and the car. We are all car enthusiests.

hmmm i don't really see the point of this thread, but i'll try to answer it the best way i can

If you want some respect EARN IT! I've been hanging around the clubsi msg board for like 2 weeks now. The only worthwhile forum that i can learn something from is "Got Boost?". The rest of the forums is "Hey, which of this damn phat wingz looks the best on my car". Read this forum now, and if you see a thread that resembles rice, u'll see flamij. So yeah, it's people that are ghey. Too bad they drive hondas...

Now back to the rice shit. Do you think that when i see a 240sx with a wing and 20" rims i hate it less than a honda? Wrong. I hate it as much, and prolly even more since they are ruining my image. But they do still look better than civics.

Honda - a fuel economy car. I don't think it was created with racing in mind..... definately not a civic.

Anyways, to sum it all up. I've never seen a sleeper honda around my town. Except for one turbo type-r that had no rice whatsoever (except maybe for yellow paint) and the guy driving it is a 40 year-old owner of a body shop. All the ones i see are loud as hell and ghey looking. Too bad that 90% of rice are civics. But hey, that's the reason why i bought my 240.

Aze... I gotta give you a hand for mentioning this... although kinda pointless and rant-ish... I'm with you on that. Honda's have a good handling, and are very light which make them a good platform and I really do like their motors. I'm not gonna remention what you did, but I second just about everything you said. I used to have a 92 hatch and I loved it. I now have an S14 and I love that too.

Down the road I'm thinking of getting a 93-95 civic coupe, and dropping a B18C in it and going all motor... 9k+ redline baby! It would be economical and fun, and it would be a 210fwhp sleeper after some work.

I dont hate hondas. I have seen a decent number of sleeper hondas in my day. The reason they get the rice toe tag, is because (not trying to be stereotypical) us punk teenagers who have the wrong idea of what to do with cars. My friend had a '00 EBP Si with a jackson racing supercharger. It was a damn nice car, but then he sold it and bought a supra Now, no more sleeper

Where the hell do you live?? Have you not ever looked at the price of a used Honda? Those things drop in value about as fast as my father's ford accerlerates, a.k.a barely at all. I agree on the aftermarket support, but otherwise they are an expensive car to buy.

I have to agree on tha fact that since there is soo much aftermarket support for honda that the part/accesories get real cheap therefore making their cars look cheap....now I don't agree on the fact that the civic was never mean to race or anything of that nature....cars are designed like this for a reason....this thing was not meant to go fast....but somehow this entire world of parts opened up and now they are fast....on the other hand I know of a few sleepers out there in my area....I am yet to lose toa honda but I have gotten reeeeeal close....this guy almost had me off a street light.....we ran all the way to 100mph and he was about 4 feet behind my bumper....soooo close....it was a tennis ball green civic with something special going on under the hood.....

I couldn't have said it better. I am Honda owner as well as a Nissan owner. I got my 240 first but have a GSR as a daily driver. My cars have been proven among the track and on road. Most of the people talking shit I see, don't even have that shit to back it up, they should wake up and realize that. I think it's just the internet attitude, the I'm all high and mighty, some car owners get. Either way, everyone should get over it, i doubt it's ever going away.
