I have a chance to get 3 rims from a 3000GT for free (I know I need 4--I can get the 4th from a salvage yard). They're 16", 5-lug rims. Does anyone know the bolt pattern and offset of the stock rims? Will they fit on my car? I'm wanting them for auto-x usage (I like the rims, but the Mitsubishi emblem in the center kinda ruins them for everyday use).
Thanks guys and girl(s)! (Edited by 96SEChick at 9:55 pm on Aug. 17, 2001) |

It probably will scrape. My boyfriend has a '96 240 (yes, I'm VERY jealous) with 17X7 and does not have a problem turning at all. He actually did in the beginning because he'd had an accident with his car, so one of his mud-guards wasn't positioned right and it scraped off the tire. He went back to the body shop and got it fixed and now it's "just perfect". So I'm thinking if 17x7s did it to a mud-guard that was off-position by less then an inch, you might get a scrape from 16x8s. But then again, they're free, it doesn't hurt to try. I'd like to know how it goes!

Nah, 8 shouldn't scrape. max in front are 9s and rear is 10s (on S14). They would scrape only if it has a wrong offset. but seeing it has 35-38mm, it's optimum offset which would constitute a good fit.
