I like not trimming the bellhousing and swaping to a 350z clutch, has been working great this season, but adding an adapter plate and not cutting the bell housing of course pushed the shifter location further back.
I emailed maverick and they said they dont offer a custom shifter to put the shifter in factory location on a s13 with a 2j. Im gonna need it to be in the stock location. Guess i may need to look into other options.

Also the 6spd i acquired is the rev match 370z 6spd. Hope its the same as a regular 370z 6spd other than the sensors for the shifter. Only #s i see on it is CD9

Hope this makes sense...having trouble putting my thoughts into words

Ok, for those with a stock 1j and/or 1j vvti; how much boost are you guys running and how are you controlling it? My wiring specialties harness didn't have the oem boost solenoid plug, so I'm running a GFB bleed style MBC which only allows me 11ish psi. My internal wastegate pressure is only about 5-6psi. Any way I could jump the oem solenoid to stay open, then tee the MBC into that to get to 14-15psi?

Finally went from my idle temp at 198-203 to a solid 178-180 ish and on the highway no fans on I'm at 168-172 ..

Basically added a bleeder valve to my heater core line (highest point in the coolant system), mishimoto 168° thermostat , and 150amp sequoia alternator to fully power my spal 20 amp each fans.

Car runs so much better and cooler!!!!

Boost leak? This is 3rd gear about 3500 1/3 throttle. As the noise changes, the AFRs go from rich to lean. WOT is fine and so is cruising. Stock boost solenoid deleted, running 11psi on a manual boost controller

*Tried to get my dyno tune on and found fuel pressure dropping up top on a single walbro 450lph pump. Tried adding a 2nd feed line and filter, still dropped psi up top. Rebuilt my aeromotive fuel pressure regulator cause it was leaking vac/boost but still no change. Ended up adding a 2nd pump in tank. Upgraded the wiring on the S13 pump hanger cause that tiny 25yr old corroded shit had no chance. POW I have all of the fuel pressure now!
*So im out cruising one night and my lights go dim and the laptop shows 10.8V at idle and 12.8 at 2000rpm, FML what now! Apparently the stock 2j alternator cannot handle the extra load of these kickass fans, dual pumps, stereo, etc. So now I just put on a Tundra alternator and POW all of the voltages are mine again!

Just trying to get back to the dyno! Running great tho!.... for now

can you please show a pic of the wiring you have done to the hangar??

There are a lot of shifter options available for the z trans. Look into serial nine, or CBF performance. Also if you are running the suprastore adapter or the new auto bell collins adapter the trans choice doesn't matter.

I removed the 2 wires for the pump from the top of the sender completely so there were 2 holes. I then drilled 1 larger hole in the middle of those 2 smaller original holes and welded to fill in the extra gap. I had to do a little grinding and painted it so you cant tell.

For the sender i just used the factory wires and sending unit , i left that part alone. There were 4 of those little white porcelain plastic things, ... i left 2 for the gauge sender there basically. The 2 red power wires for the fuel pumps are on seperated fuses and relays. For the ground i used a 12g wire to the hanger inside the tank and then put a 12g wire grounding the top of the sender to the main chassis ground in my trunk.

Hey guys, im about to order my bracket + mount for my swap (2jzgte 240sx s13) from xcessive !

But before I order, I need to decide which mount I want ..

Xcessive offer 2 mount set,
1: series 3,(N-S-UMM-S3) that is the 'oem' replacement
2: series 15,(UH-UMM-S15) they lower the engine by 10mm (3/8') so I can get better hood clearance for sure ...

Does anyone ever use the series 15 with jz swap ??
How is the oil pan ---> subframe/steering rack clearance ?

Thanks for your inputs guys

Anybody know someone wanting to sell free engineering mounts? I have a gte with a v160 and need those mounts specifically, i cant find any other ones. Also, is it easier to just swap to a single turbo right away, motor is 100% stock twin turbo right now.

I have the same goal in mind for my build but with a CD009 trans. From what I read it is way more convenient to just go single turbo from the start. Stock twins are hard to pull out once in the engine bay and they could already be on their last legs.

From what I gather you could run around 400whp with a completely stock ECU, injectors, pump, single turbo on low boost. Thats what I'm gonna do until I can afford a 2k fuel system and 2k standalone.

Thats decent. What harness are you using? I'd like to get a piggy back or safc and go single. Seems to be worth spending the money and doing the single right away. What are you using for a intercooler/rad?

In order to save time and $, I initially just kept the stock twins and drove them at 14psi for like a year.
When they died, a buddy pulled them out with the motor in the car pretty easily.
Couple hours and done.
