17x7.5 +15 or 16x7.5 +22 for s13 coupe?
Looking at buying a new set of wheels for my s13 coupe. I want them nearly flush w/o having to roll fenders and not too much negative camber as I drive on the Interstate 40miles to and from work.
Here are the options I have: 16x7.5 +22 16x8.5 +37 17x7.5 +15/+25 17x8.5 +25/+35 17x9.5 +30 I'd like to use the wheels for drift in the future, so should I go w/ 16's or still stick w/ 17's? I know dousan thinks 7.5" width is pansy but since I'm going to be KA style, I don't need something any wider, correct? I'm trying to decide whether to go for the 16x7.5 +22 or the 17x7.5 +15. I searched and found a couple people running 17x7.5 +15 and said they sit almost perfect on the car w/ little or no camber whatsover, but also found some posts contradicting them. Thoughts guys? Thanks lataz z |

really? nothing wider then 7.5 on KA? sucks dood. i should cancel my order for my 17x9 +15 and 18x9.5 +12
d'oooh wont roll fenders. you'll never have 'flush' then. because your tire will slap against the fender lip. but ok its your money (or waste of) i dont know what size will fit for that. sorry. maybe someoen can post pics of their car w/ those sizes/offsets |

Ok, so what I've concluded from your post:
Drift KA is manageable w/ a 9"+ tire. I won't have flush 'look' unless I roll. So, since I need not worry about width. If I go w/ 17x8.5 +25 will the tire be out past the fender, or will it sit enough enough where it won't slap the lip...? ///me begins the search for a fender roller Home come I have to live in Florida where nobody knows nothing about this type of thing. Thanks for the info lataz z |

yep
ive done it hehe..stretched tires and crap tires hehehe anyways..yeah that should be fine. BUT might need to roll fenders. some camber otherwise. your in FL? im sure you can find a shop. its relatively inexpensiv and you will NOT lose anything for rolling them! there is NO disadvantage to it! you also open a world for wheel AND tire choices/sizings as far as rolling fenders goes call shops taht work on BMWs and Mercedes..the ones with the WIDE HUGE LIP wheels. they ALL have rolled fenders for fitment reason. being in FL is NO excuase. actuatlly that's a babies excuse. iknow quite a few folks in FL who have/can find shops to roll fenders. dont make excuses. its your ignorance why you dont/cant find a place, NOT your location. sorry to be blunt. |

Woop, woop...ok, 17x8.5 +25 it is.
About the rolling, you can only roll the rears right? I've read some of your other posts saying the front metal is just too thin. Thanks for the help EDIT: And bout the FL thing, it wasn't an excuse as to why I can't find fender rolling, it was a reference to the fact that not many people down here are into the suspension/drift thing. Most just want to look good and go fast in a straight line. Not many of them will sit in front of a computer and take all day to decide on what offset for a specific wheel. Most of the information I gain is from searching and reading posts from online boards, not from people I talk to. lataz z |

too bad no 17x9.
9.5 would fit WITH camber (quite a bit) anyways..8.5 is ok nah fronts can be done. but not w/ the fender roller. other methods hehe.. i can do all 4 sides easily. done it on um...5 or so cars? maybe mroe. shoudl be near 10 by end of month and 15 by end of year. and im STILL poor hahaha im too nice and know too many people. oh well. my fender roller will be in FL sometime enxt year with my friend. but not sure if he'll do other people's cars. and he's newb i suggset the bmw type places. they know their stuff. if they roll a M5s fenders to perfection, mi sure your 240sx will be ok heh.. |

Haha...this is true.
Thanks for the heads up on who to go for fender rolling...when you say its relatively inexpensive, whats the going rate where you guys are at? Just getting a reference point to see if I'm getting bent over w/ no lube or not. Where does your friend in FL live? lataz z |

average rate at a shop:
50-70 PER fender sometimse more sometimes less. it heavily varies on the shop. time: about 2-4 hours of work sometimes more sometimes less. depends on car. |
