I have a similar setup( collins bolt on with a 2J). That angle makes it look worse than it is. I'm more worried about the oil pan so I'm getting this....

It's funny that my oil pan is above the front cross memeber on mine.

We did the 'ol in out, in out for a while to get it in. There also seems to be an offset to the shifter. The shifter us off center to the passenger side a bit. I can see the same thing in other people's photos. I spent some time trying to center the shifter before I realized the transmission WAS centered lol

Quick question...
I’m trying to do a cd009 on a RB26, do I use a RB clutch and flywheel setup or z33? Trying to run a twin clutch setup.

Honestly I think it has to do with whatever yoke is used when they build the driveshaft. I had the GkTech shifter with the aluminum 1 piece shaft that Mazworx supplies with their CD009/SR bellhousing kit, and the driveshaft yoke did not hit the shifter anywhere. I think there's two different size driveshaft yokes that these shops can use and one has a slightly larger diameter or something.

not enough to do anything (its not like the casting is a couple of inches thick, the bottom bolt locations also confirm this). it sounds like the only thing you can do here is raise the engine and trans (if the hood/tunnel will let you do that). not sure what that will do to COG and the other plethora of issues?

Driveshaft hit the weld on the start stop knot on mine, in hindsight i would have made it 3/8 longer. its minute so spacing the shifter up with 1 washer will work for me

Ah, so it's the brass bushing at the bottom of the shifter that hits? I haven't torn mine down yet but I had assumed it was the little L shaped link which can't be spaced up.

The top of the trans is 1/8" shy of hitting the trans tunnel. It is as high as it can go. I don't know how anyone's is sitting higher?

At least I’m not the only one with a low boi , I got it up a lil bit higher by taking a air hammer with a flat round bit to the tunnel bracing . But definitely going to have to make a lil skid plate for it just Incase :

I def will be making a skid plate just so nothing hangs up on that protrusion, even though my car will never be THAT low.

True. I’m just dreading having the bash firewall and trans tunnel while working on the ground
