285/40/18 on s13 rear?
I can pick up a pair and have some 5zigen 9.5" to mount on but have not seen pictures online of how it looks. Car has about 30 mm over fenders & coilovers. Doesn't seem too much different then the more popular 285/30/18.

Hello everyone,

My car is a 1998 s14 with all stock fenders on bc racing br coilovers, adjustable rear upper camber and toe arms and has stock brakes at the front and rear. The car is daily driven. I am interested in getting a set of either the cosmis XT-206R or XT-006R 18x9.5 et10 all around. I currently have the stock 16x6.5 et40 wheels.

I need some guidance in what to do to fit these wheels, willing to roll and pull the fenders.

From what i have seen on this thread i think 225/40 rear and 215/40 front tyres should work? What size do you guys recommend?

I have r33 gtst front and rear brakes that i would be installing soon. Would either wheel design clear the r33 gtst calipers or would spacers be needed?

Would the wheels need a lot of negative camber to fit?

If anyone has done this please post pictures i would love to see how they look.

Thank you.

Rolld and pull and you should have some pretty perfect fitment my dude. Might need a spacer if anything and yes the brakes will clear i have same ones on my car and no you will not need alot of camber lol. Dont sweat it so much this setup should look nice.

Excellent thread everyone! I was hoping to get some opinions on wheel offset and max tire size for my 98 240SX - completely stock but upgrading to coilovers and appropriate suspension parts for 2JZ swap. The car will be daily driven and will mainly be raced on the highway and 1/4 mile once the swap is completed.

Wants: 18" setup, minimal to almost no camber (not my cup of tea), NO stretching of tires, will pull/roll the rear fenders

Wheels I will be buying:
CCW D110 or Work Meister S1 3P

CCW wheels can be ordered with custom offsets but I do not even know where to begin as the car will be getting all upgrades at once (300ZX brakes or larger, coilovers, wheels).

Ok so I've looked around and there is mixed feeling about 19's on S14's. I have a S14 30mm front overfender and 50mm rear overfenders and I'm looking at some 19x10.5-17 5.5" lip 19x11.5-17 6" lip rims. So a couple of questions.
Would it really look that bad 19's on my s14?
If I do end up getting the rims what kind of tire setup would be good with them?
and I wouldn't need spacer or none of that right?

Wheel Fitment Question Thread

Looking for some help with wheel choice - I've been reading up but would like to get your opinions. I am piecing everything together and will need to replace my stock 15" wheels with everything being done:

S13 Coupe
S14 Rear Subframe w/ s14 arms
S14 FLCA
Z32 30mm Brakes
5 Lug
2-3" Drop

Would like to use either 17" or 18" wheels with flush fitment WITHOUT the use of spacers, rolling or pulling fenders. Photo of the look I am after below. Thank you-

Alright guys, I have a 1993 s13 convertible w/silvia front & feal coilovers. Fenders are rolled/no pulling or camber.

I want the wheel lip just inside the fender. I tried going for aggressive fitment 18x9.5 +12/18x10.5 +15 and both stuck out too far for me. I would like to prevent the front wheels from sticking out further than the back.

If I ran F17x9 +12 R18x9.5 +12. Could I get away with without pulling the rear. I don't want to dent my quarters.

I'm wanting fitment similar to this?

^ first off. That picture might be a staggered set up. Second off its not really the width thats messing you up on your goals its the offset especially for mono block wheels. 3rd i would do a 18x9.5 + 18-22 offset for the rear and 17x9 + 25 in the front if you want that type of fitment. As for tire size that depends on you. Ie how low you wana go while still maintaining this fitment you want, do you have plans of tracking the car? Also mind you that the s14 subframe is wider so that wil also throw you off a bit. But yea if i were you id focus more on the offsets then anyhting else thats what is really gonna dial it in for what specific fitment you want. Hope this helps.

I am thinking about running the same tires all around, and have 17x8 and 17x9 staggered currently. If i have my 8" width widen to 9 and intend to run 255/40/17 what offset would be best for the fronts on an s13 with coilovers?

17x9 +10? the front wheels are currently 17x8 +38

What?? Dude no offense, I know you're only trying to help people, but that's a rediculous tire recommendation! And 9j +25 offset is a really tight fit for most coilovers if it fits at all. I'd say chill on the "helping people" in this thread, maybe you're trolling idk haha

Do you have a 4.2 liter engine in your s-chassis?

Honestly man, there's so many pictures and info out there you just need to do a bunch of research, and some trail and error on your own car.

Check out rimtuck.com for sure

Maybe look into something like 9j +20 with 215/40, 225/40 isn't a common size, but for a square sidewall maybe even a 235 on a 9j, check out Broadfields car and specs also, he runs big wheels and tires and is probably the look you're after

With the s14 subframe and all the other parts you're using, like I said it's just gonna take some tinkering around with to figure it out, good luck man!!

What is the bolt pattern on S13? I have some 16" wheels that I bought for my Acura Integra but considering to sell it and get myself a S13. The bolt pattern on the wheels is universal 4x100 and 4x114.3.

My tire advice for any 9" wide rim is to get 245 width tires if you are not into the 'stretch' game. That width will leave you with the minimalist of stretches.

All stock S13's are 4x114.3. SE S14 are 5x114.3 and it's a common swap on S13s too.
