im in a hunt for an aspec blastpipe style muffler thats loud but not too loud(i have an RB20 in my S13)
dual 3 inch burned tip and 3 inch inlet(polished or not)

The tips don't really affect the volume levels of the exhaust. All dual 3" exits with single 3" inlet will sound the same. Its the number, size and effectiveness of the mufflers before the tailpipes which dictate how loud the exhaust will be. Buy the blastpipes and weld a muffler further down the system?

Tip size does affect tone/sound of the exhaust, same way a rolled up piece of paper can be used as a make-shift megaphone.

i was just saying that because i want the tip's to be 3" and i just want one something like the blastpipe except i dont want it too loud like the blastpipe.

im working on a turbo back 3 inch system that will sit above your frame rails all the way back to the axel, and is as close to the subframe/diff as possible, the ground clearance is amazing.

the system will use a Split type down pipe, this smooths out your waste gate gasses and then rejoins them into the exhaust thus dramatically improving flow.

it will also have only the turbo downpipe gasket, that will be the only gasket on the entire system, it will have a vband and break apart in the center.

its probably gunna require a solid urethane tranny mount due to how close the clearances are..

ill post some teaser pics tomorrow

Just get a resonator welded further up the exhaust under the car. I did it on my car when I got the blast pipes welded on and it still sounds awesome and is not loud at all

so what is everyone doing when they put aero on? i finally got my car back together and my hks hi power sits way too far back. i figured i'll just cut and extend it to fit but i'd imagine finding some 85mm piping might be a task
