when doing head work, if you only replace the springs and retainers do you need to re-shim everything or will the stock shims still suffice?

i.e. replacing stock springs and retainers with BC springs and retainers

You can drain it and start fresh...OR, put like 5 gallons of new fuel in there to mix with it while you use up the old. With really old fuel, it will run like complete dog shit or not at all. I would pour in like 5 gallons of new fuel. I have done this in the past and it made it run way better while using up the old.

If you didn't got a valve regring or valve seat job, I guess it's not necessary to reshim!

it should fit. i had an 18x10 +18 with a 235/40/18 fit with just a roll.

if you want to decrease the chances of having to roll you could always go down a size in tire. maybe a 225/40 instead

So im not sure if this is a dumb question or not. but here goes it. I am wondering if it is possible to replace the housing around a transmission. or more specifically the part that is up against the motor. Near the oil pan. I just got this car and i recently noticed that it has two small cracks in the casing all the way in the bottom two corners near the oil pan. the transmission its self has no problems but i gotta get this fixed because its leaking fluids. So seeing if i need a new transmission all together or if i can just replace the piece. before i drop everything out and find out i can, or cant patch it up.

your bell housing is leaking fluid?

yes you can change the bell housing.

you may also want to check your rear main seal if you have a fluid leak coming from that area. can you tell what the fluid is? is it oil?

at first i was sure it was oil, but i was under there the other day and it looks like some of it is transmission fluid also. so i would say oil and tranny fluid.

i would say you need to remove the tranny ASAP and figure out where the fluid is coming from and go from there.

My brother has an s13 with an RB25, trying to buy him new radiator, his is done. But not sure what to buy?

"S13 radiator" or "RB25 radiator"?
I have looked around and on some sites it say s13 ka/sr radiator or just "s13 radiator" but none for rb25?
Kinda lost here so links would be very helpful.

P.S.-Not looking for OEM or ebay crap.

-Thanks

i believe you use the KA radiator. correct me if im wrong but the inlet and outlet are on the same side of the KA radiator and the RB radiator whereas the SR radiator inlet and outlet are on opposite sides from each other.

Ok, either I'm failing hard at searching or google has failed me. So does anyone happen to have the instructions for the Zero1000 turbo timer? Or happen to know offhand where the white wire connects to? I'm 99% sure the black is ground. Just need the white one and I'm golden.

Fucking hate losing instructions.

In the middle of a fusebox tuck...does anyone know what this connector goes to? I know there's one that goes to the trans IIRC but I don't think it's the same color wires. I know there's atleast 2 of these connectors and one should be for the AC system(the one that's by the fusebox)

The car is a 90 s13 with a kade in it

When I turn my key to the on position my fuel pump continues to prime and doesn't shut off like it should after a few seconds of priming. I was told that there is a timer that after so many seconds should shut it off.... is that true? If so where is the timer located, is it part of the relay?

If it is not a timer shutting it off what triggers your fuel pump to shut off when it is done priming? is it a pressure setting?

You can order new inserts from TeesUSA, not sure how much it costs tho. But how the fuck did that happen? Never seen that before. Almost looks melted.

I believe they work. KA uses sidefeed injectors which those should be. S15 SR injectors are 480cc and S13 SR injectors are 370cc.

I don't want to declare it as fact since I don't have first hand experience with them (see how that works people?).
