hmmm.......... so VIS cf hood seems to be the hood everyone talks about , i did some search typed "carbon fiber hood" all stuff come up has something to do with VIS. there must be another company that is equally as good.
I'm not a cf expert and i was also wondering how to determine if a carbon fiber hood is good? waht are the stuff i need to look for? fitment, weight, weave pattern? (how to tell what weave pattern is good? or all is good ) |

yeah, i ran my vis for a couple days with no pins and it was scary, shaking alot, even though it is much stiffer than the hoods my friends use. umm as far as what to look for, all I cared about was that it was alot lighter than stock and had rolled edges.

s14drifter, saw the project car on your website with 89hatch. I saw you guys have the tein HE coilovers. and was wondering if you can provide me some offsets for the tein HE. I just recently bought a set and i'm having a hard time figuring out some numbers.
I came up with some number but don't know if its correct FRONT: 7inch wide needs 20+ to sit flush with out fender rolling (I called them and they suggested this set up for the front) any comments? Rear: 7 inch wide with 38+ offset (will this sit flush in the rear?) 8 inch wide with 38+ offset (was guesing this might be a better choice) Please leave some suggestions on what offsets and width. thanks alot. VIS CF HOOD HERE I COME! |

yeah, im running the He's on my coupe as well. With 7" front you should be able to go 0 offset without rolling depending on tire size and camber. the 7"+38 will be nowhere near flush in rear, neither will the 8" +38. But why not roll? its way easy to do yourself.
Im running 16x7.5-5 all 4 rolled fenders and very small pull in rear, and alot of camber on all 4 wheels.
