Sorry about that guys, The holidays really got the best of me I think.. Well here is a little update, nothing to big.. Trying to get the bay, cage and interior painted very soon and then I will have a update with that..
The beer for this time is DogFish Head "Burton Baton". I really really like this beer, it is kind of strong so must don't like but I love it.. It is a oak-aged beer with a 10% ABV.. And this is one of the reasons why a update has not been done yet. I got my wife some Christian Louboutin's for Christmas.. But you have to make the wife happy first so they don't bitch about your build.... LOL Like I said I made a to-do list for the car and engine. Stuff for the car is what is needed to get it ready for paint and the engine list is for some of the things I am changing.. Started off removing all the unnecessary brackets and removed the secondary firwall for extra room.. Then removed everything else, and used this stuff that my boy Eric gave me for degreasing the car. And man that stuff must have been Hulks's piss cause that ship got hella clean.. I swear you can eat off this thing now.. Also got rid of all the rust on the front tube chassis, time for some sanding and hit it with some primer..

^^ you are correct..
Okay sorry for the lack of updates waiting on my damn paint to get here. So in the mean times, I was working on removing some suspension parts and wanted to check out the fitment of my new wheels.. Now this is with my Do-Luck overs that I will be adding.. I would say that is spot on..

Thanks bro, well we will see how it looks at the end.. Since these are my show/Marketing wheels for DPE, I don't care if I have to run -3 or -4 camber in the rear to fit. But my 18s will be ran at -1 or 0 camber..

I am no professional, but in terms of tube framing the front of the car should you not have a designed crumple or weak spot? I don't see the factory ones unless I missed them ?
but if you had them cut out, you should really incorporate a weak spot in-case you do hit something so it doesn't fuck up your frame or trans tunnel or something stupid that makes the car un-fixable |

This was a really awesome build until I saw the welds on the cage. I'm disappointed.
There is no way I would ever let a customers or friends car leave my shop like that. Tig tacks on one joint, and another with zero penetration into the base metal. This isn't rocket science or anything. Grind the beads off and start over. There is no "good enough" or "it will hold" at all. It WILL fail there if any form of stress is exerted on it. The rest of your car is awesome. |
