theres 4500+ responses in here, no way id be able to check each and every one without an hour long thread search. lol. so... where can i go to get some alcantara by the yard or whatever, i know its pricey, so a microsuede would work for me too, or whatever the fake alcantara is called.

If you drill out the spot welds and bumps that keep the tracks from coming apart you can pull them down into an upper rail and a lower rail on both the 350z rail and the S13/S14 rail. Like so (this is after they are apart.)

Start by getting the mounting brackets off the S13 rails so they are out of the way when its time to weld the rails back together. So drill out their spot welds and get the plug out. The hole that goes all the way through.

Here:

And here:

Now you should have the bottom of the S13 rail bare like this.

Then you use the bigger of the two rollers that are internal

And slide the upper 350z (seat side) rail into the lower S13 (car side) rail with the bigger roller. At this point you can weld small tacks back in place with the rails rolled all the way back. Put two small welds here: (it helps to turn your welder down so you don't get penetration)

Now you have the entire rail assembly back together and it should move forward and back to the stops (one that you just made and the other that you left when removing the rails)

You can easily weld the mounting brackets back into place where they were, if you drilled the slug out properly you can put it back in place before you do this so it will hold them in the exact position needed.

The slug goes in the hole that goes all the way through:

Get all the brackets back on and when its done the 350z seat will sit as low as your stock seats. Here is a pic as a reference. Please don't hate on my blue interior and how dirty my car is:

As you can see I trimmed the side pocket off the seats so it wouldn't hit the door, which becomes a problem when you get them low enough in the car.

Another pic:

They sit pretty low, I'm 6'3" and I have plenty of head room. But this is also a non-sunroof car.

The wheel is an OMP for sure. The seat looks like some kind of Bride. hard telling which one exactly without seeing a better perspective of the bolsters. You can see some kind of pattern on the cushions through the harness slot, probably a bride logo pattern. Pretty sure Bride is one of the few companies that does the bass boat back as well.

Either way..looks pretty cool for a blue S2k Interior. Is the car Suzuka Blue I wonder?

I like the gauge install in the glovebox. I just don't know if it would be as useful when you have someone sitting in the passenger seat.

^werd,... i always thought that with those set ups.

i guess if you're doing anything that you would want to watch those gauges anyway,...you probably wouldnt have a passenger either...lol

.....or cuz there're defi, you can just watch the replay later..hahahha
