Haha, I did it! I changed out the fuel filter in my S13 (which I have to get some pics of). I feel great. I'm not great with cars, but i'm learnin, hehe. Only problem I had, was that the gas poured out faster than I could get a can under it. Any tips for the next change?

dont do it in your driveway

ohh yeah, i change oil and i make a mess even with catch cans designed for oil changes, but i am Eric so that is me.. =)
everyone makes fun of me for doing it cuz there is no reason for it to run down the street like it always does.... and i even make fun of myself...

In the Fuse box in the engine right by your battery is a fuse that will disconnect your fuel pump. Disconnect that and crank your car and let it start, it will die about 1 second leter. Now you can take the fuel filter off without it spuwing everywhere due to the fuel pressure. You can fit a 300ZX Z32 filter on your car if you want to upgrade, I did mine but I didnt feel anything. Just good to know its there.

but how much is a fuel filter? and how much more is the Z32?
is there a Z32 performance filter?

No need for a performance filter, You could get a K&N that allows it to be cleaned. I think the Z32 filter is like 10-15$

Yeah, I disconnected the pump and let it run dry. It wasn't under pressure, it was just the excess that was still in the fuel filter that ran out.
