KA24de Slight Clutch Grind Noise (Video inside)

Everytime I press the clutch in, the grind goes away. Everytime i release the clutch the noise comes back. whether its in neutral or gear. Still makes the noise...At :30 seconds you can hear what I'm talking about...

Have you ever had the clutch replaced? Mine was making a similar noise and it was my flywheel bolts. One bolt was backing out and the clutch disk was grinding on it.

Throw out bearing?? Since when u pushed the clutch in it faded. Mine was more of a whine though. Any problems going into any gears? Reverse is usually the first to give you troubles...

You hit the nail on the head, reverse gives me trouble almost everytime. I actually have to put it in first then shift to reverse for it to work.

I thought throw out bearing was only when it made a noise when you pushed the clutch in, not when you release it..

Would that cause the issues with reverse also or just the noise?

2 years? if that's the case ill just let it go...Did the noise get worse over the span of that time?

Throw out bearing...$60 tops for it already pushed in, which I recommend unless you have machine/tool is almost impossible, but surely beats sitting at a light and one day it not go into gear and there you are... Poof be input shaft...BUT, like I said, more peace at mind. My trans always whined, but thats just the KA trans for you lol. Never had gear oil cause it would not hold it...Idk like I said rather have peace at mind and might just fix your problem.

Btw...when/if u do this, save yourself trouble and don't drop the trans, pull the motor with the trans connected and then take it apart, personal experience lol

I originally thought mine was the throw out bearing but when we pulled the clutch you could tell. If it is your throw out, AutoZone had mine for $25-$30?

Best bet is pull the trans and investigate.

true, only reason i knew mine was the input shaft bearing was because i got a new clutch kit and once installed it still made the noise
