RB25 Series 1 to 2 swap
I have a swapped S13 with a Series 2 RB25det swapped in it. I blew the motor up and am now in the mix of swapping it in a new (used) motor. The only one I could find at the time was a series 1 rb25det.
Do I just use my S2 coil packs and switch spark plug cover and leave it alone or is there anything else on the motor that may differ to the S1 that will need to be changed? (I know the heads are different but thats irrelevant at this point). |

The heads are the same..
The only differences will be the throttle/tps and MAYBE the exhaust cam. The Super late late S2 has a different cam/cas drive so you would need the cas too. Or you can just swap over the old cam and be done with it. Also just swap over the old TB. I have S2 wiring/electronics on a S1 motor. |
