I need new tires BAD on my stock 95' LE (5bolt)
I am running 225/50/16 right now on the stock rim.. They aren't rubbing at all right now so I assume I should buy a another set of 225's How about these? any objections to size? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ADS4&tab=Sizes All-Season are a must where I live |

My absolute FAVORITE 225/50/16 tire is the Falken Ziex 912. Great dry traction, good wet traction, does pretty damn good in the snow, and doesnt squeal when you spin em. And theyre like $84 a piece. But thats just me.

Another option, cheaper but good reviews.. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes Also 3lbs lighter per tire, is that very significant? Last edited by BC240; 10-19-2010 at 11:33 AM.. |

225's up front makes it a little sloppier.. honestly the difference is barely noticeable. Probably the best handling setup would be 205/55 fronts and 225/50 rears, but I like the ability to rotate the tires, so the minimal trade off in handling is worth it to me to run 225's all around.

i just installed a clutch fan and fan shroud. i had to move my intercooler piping to put the shroud on but when i went to put the piping back in place the blow off hits the shroud, is there anything else i can do other then grinding out a spot for the blow off? and if i grind out a little hole for it will i lose any suction from the clutch fan through the radiator?

And $1250 is a ridiculous price to pay for a KADE. I mean, sure its nice to have a brand new engine, but for that kind of money you could get a used longblock, built/rebuild it yourself, and have a better motor for the same money. If all youre looking for is a stock replacement KA, get a used one off the forums from someone that seems legit. I'll be selling my 94k mile KA thats very healthy in a few weeks, and probably wont be looking for more than $300 for it. |

Quick question. I need transmission fluid asap for my sr swap. So what kind of fluid can I get from auto zone, advanced auto or oreilly's that would work well? PS NO one has redline around here and don't have time to order it. Thanks, Dominic

SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER. Does an OBD1 s14 have 2 cats? One being right at the downpipe? And does an OBD1 s14 have 2 O2 sensors? One also being at the downpipe? Trying to pass smog legally.

If I were you, Id buy another motor, and maybe even start buying mods for it, but hold off on swapping it as long as you can. Let the parts keep flowin in as long as possible, then when your motor finally takes a dump, swap it in. You have an advantage in that you know your motor is dying, but you have some time to prepare for it. Not a low of people luck our like that- i know someone who was a week away from putting his turbo kit on, and spun a bearing on the highway. Had to sell all his turbo parts to get a replacement motor. So consider it a good thing- your motor runs, but will poop out on you eventually. So drive the fuck out of it, and look for another motor in the mean time. Look on the bright side... you dont have to do any more oil changes, just top that bitch off. |

Cali guys- It seems to me that Smog is a HUGE pain in the dick... Why dont any of you just register your car in another state? I'm from PA and my car is registered at my Moms house in GA, because GA doesnt have any emissions. I rock the GA plates, and never need to get inspected. Thats what I'd do if i was in cali anyway, find someone outta state to let me register it at their address. |

So i failed smog, i was told that my o2 sensor was failing.
So my dad swaps out my o2 sensor but then he connects the positive and negative together even though i told him not to. The check engine light is still on, so i reset my ecu. The light goes away (comes on randomly) Then i go smog, and I fail horribly, my emissions doubled. My first smog i was passed 25mph, but failed the 15mph NO. Second smog I failed the 25mph, and now am a GP at 15mph. Do I have to get a new ECU or something? any advice is appreciated. |

Ive seen cars with other chassis subframes in them, ie S13 with S14 subframe, and S14 with Z32 subframe, is there a difference in these subframes? Mainly taking about the S13, S14, and Z32 subframe. If there is a difference can someone point me in the direction of what has to be modified to mix and match?? Thanks.

I have a 95 S14 that was originally sold in NC and it only had 1 cat on it when I bought it completely stock. But I also recently picked up another 95 S14 that I haven't really looked into where it was originally sold and it has 2 cats on it. My "guess" would be that CARB legal cars from California had 2 cats from the factory.
