Brake Guru's: R32 caliper "?"'s.

(i did use the search function, lol...along w/ google)

I've got some 32mm aluminum R32 calipers (front). I'm having a hell of a time finding rotors for these things. I've pretty much narrowed it down to a 32mmX296mm (courtesy sells oem-ish vented 32X295). My problem is that I can't seem to find blank brembo rotors in this size. Does anyone have any resources they'd share with me?

Thanks.

R32 Calipers = Z32 Calipers
R32 Rotors = Z32 Rotors

Happy hunting!

the z32 TT rotors are 30X280.

if that's true, why does courtesyparts.com advertise 32X295 rotors for the R32?
Quote:
This Cross-drilled, 295mm x 32mm, R32 Skyline Right Front Rotor requires use of the Skyline Caliper required brake lines and adapters and removal of the backing plate.

The Skyline GT-R (R32) brake system will improve the ultimate braking performance of the 300ZX by increasing the brake pad swept area by 6.8% and internal cooling capacity by 82% over the OE front brakes.
NOTE: A significantly greater improvement in internal cooling capacity (136%) will be obtained on early (up to 7/90) non-turbo models as these were equipped with the "small" 26mm brake rotors. These early cars will also require the longer 116mm (vs 112mm) brake pad retaining pins (1 per wheel) (part# 41217-Z32TT).

CAUTION: Some grinding may be necessary to obtain proper wheel/caliper clearance.
Cross-drilled rotors will increase brake pad wear.
or are they just flat-out lying?

R32 calipers accomodate a 32X295 vented rotor, while the Z32 TT uses a 30x280 solid rotor (thank you importnut).

My problem is...I can't find any blank brembo's in 32X295. I guess I have to go with the vented ones from courtesy or ultimateZ, but they're cross-drilled, and rotor longevity is important to me.

Any help is appreciated.

^Importnut is excellent for Z32 brake info. The question here is R32 295mm rotors. I didn't see any info on them on Importnut.

If anyone runs Z32 TT rotors on 32 mm R32 calipers, reassure me.

Thank you CHARLIE2020. You've shed some light on this question. I see where I was confused now. I've been pricing the GTS-T calipers. Thank you again.

z rotors leave a section of pad at the top that doesn't wear when put on r32 gt-r/r-33 gt-s calipers, as i discovered when i just replaced my pads, the PO was an idiot and used z rotors. This was the only place that i could find blanks, everyone else sells cross drilled.

R32 GTR calipers are not Alu, i think the R33 GTs calipers are however.

I have R32 GTR fronts on mine and i think they are Iron.

If you upgrade the rears also consider getting a new master cylinder.

R32 T : 280mm x 26mm (single pot sumitomo caliper)
R32 GTS-T (early) : 280mm x 26mm (single pot sumitomo caliper)

R32 GTR VSPEC : 324mm x 30mm (4 pot brembo caliper)

i have a Z32 bmc already in place because my stock unit (S13) gave up on me. I'm definite my 32mm calipers are aluminum. I put a magnet to them today...no sticky...

anyway...i'm taking the goddamn calipers into performance nissan (the place MIRAGE linked me to) on wednesday to make absolutely sure...and pick up the 32X296 rotors so I can complete the swap. wish me luck!

I compared these 2 calipers.

Here is the link:
http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.p...n+Question+end

You will only be able to get blanks from Japan or you can try 3000gt rotors or is300 rotors, but the hub openings will be different.

Your best bet it Courtesyparts.com. Or you can call superiornissanmotorsports to beat their price or vice versa.

Wishing you all the best,

I have answered this question 1000 times over, I know....

R32 GTR (non Brembo Caliper) is made by Sumitumo and has a very significant difference from the Z32. Anyone stating they are selling a R32 GTR Caliper that has a "Bar Face" is selling a Z32 (non GTR).

I have a R32 GTR Complete Front Brake System comming in this week (for my car). I will take Pics and post for you all to see.

Now...
R32 GTR Blank Rotors (RF) 40206-05U10/ (LF) 40206-05U11

I would also like to make clear that the only time you have to wait for a product is if its in Japan and not in the USA.

Peace
Drew

Hmmmm... Thats the first time I have seen one like that... if deffinatly not a Z32, and its super clean like the Skyline models.

This is the R32 GTR (32mm) Sumitumo... notice the differences!!

I will measure out the R32 GTRs when they arrive.

Peace
Drew

Please do so. I have made the measurements on my comparison post. As for the genuinity of the gtr calipers, my buddy from AZ had the same type of calipers as the ones I posted on his r32 gtr.

alright, well i didnt' get out to performancenissan yesterday, but it's planned for tommorrow. since people are posting comparison pics, i'll post mine up too. they don't look like the r32 gtr calipers scientist posted, nor do they look like slidin's calipers. it's a WTF moment. sorry for the size, i don't have time to resize...

scientist, help me out on this one.
