I wanna know what do you do when you are about to rivet the fender, do you just lay it on or do you put something in between the original fender and the over fender. Also, would any of you recommend painting the fender before install or afterwards?

EDIT: My bad those pictures don't work anymore. where made like 3 inches from the window haha.
