they pollute as much as a sr20de, except during startup, and they do have smog stuff on, as long as you haven't straight-piped your cat.
And a turbo is pretty emmissions controlling anyway...
The problem you'll come across is the visual inspection (if your state has them). You will fail miserably.

It really shoulld pass emissions. The visual, if your state has them, will be a resounding NO.
