take a metal hammer (no pussy rubber shit) and smack the knuckle where the tie rod is attached
do that a few times and then give the tie rod a good light tap on the top and it should pop out

good luck, because sometimes it just doesn't come out at all.
i had to pull the whole knuckle off the car and take it to a shop.
acetylene torch, puller and a huge hammer and 30 minutes later, the master mech finally got it to pop out. it was actually on fire when it came out.

Chitty chitty BANG BANG, and it should come off. I just recently did this to mine, i think the lower ball joint is a lot harder than the tierod

no. you hammer the knuckle - the thing that the tie rod is stuck in
hammer that alot from the sides, all around
the vibrations shake the tie rod loose

then tap the tie rod from the top lightly and it will pop out

like i said, sometimes it just wont come out
dont be afraid to beat the living shit out of it
worst comes to worst, pull the knuckle off and get a ride to a garage. give the shop mech 20 bucks to do it.

acetylene torch ftw

So long as you don't need that balljoint, just hammer it with some backbone, it'll come down outta there. If you need the ball joint, screw the nut back on top and go for it.

take the nut that was holding the tie rod on, and thread it back on a bit (like 3 turns), then wail on the nut. That way you wont fuck up the threads.....been there.....FUCKIN HEADACHE!

if tapping/beating the shit out of it doesnt work

go to autozone and rent a tie rod seperator.. it slides around the ball joint.

beating the shit out of it has worked for me every time also.

in the case where i had to replace a bearing in the spindle and didnt want to fuck up my Tein ends i used a seperator made it much easier and quieter.

what problem are you having?

i found to get all the slop out of my suspension on my s13's i just had to through down and get an entire bushing kit and replace what wasnt already replaced by helm joints on the aftermarket pieces.

240s can always be "fixed." Just need to have everything done right. If you track your car, you are bound to have things break all the time which is why you need quality parts that can handle the abuse. There was a thread that pictured the one you have installed on your car and it does not look good.
