will 18x9.5 +30 or +12 fit s14 fronts ?

im about to order a pair of wheels and dont want to go stagger set up. just want to know if anyone tried fitting a 18x9.5 + 30 or +12 on the front of a s14. i know tire will play a role also and was thinking 235/35-40/18 tires. i'm currently running 18x8.5 +25 w/ 225/40/18 the rims come very close to my coilovers too close infact but still cleared and no rubbage. any input would be great.

i have a feeling the +30 wouldn't clear the coilover but a spacer can fix that just more worried about rubage.

thanks,
jon

you would need +12 to clear without any other tricks or mods.

an 8.5 +25 is one inch off center, so it has about 5.25 inches of backspace.

a 9.5 +30 is more than one inch off center (30mm=1.2inch) and with the wheel being wider you end up with almost 6 inches of backspace, thats 3/4" closer to your coilovers than your current setup.

well im more concerned about rubbage while turning. looking at my old wheels 9'' wide w/ 235/45/17 they where too close to the fender liner.

i mite go w/ 18x9.5 +30 w/ a 15mm spacer. since +12 in the front and +30 in the rears will look funny due to the difference in concave. the wheels i want are lmgt4's and getting the better sizes are in japan which take too long and and a decent amount of $$.

any tire size recommendation? so 18x9.5+30 w/ a 15mm spacer should be good. worst case ill go w/ a 17x9 +22(also size is only avail in jap)

i dont like the non concave ones i have right now 18x8.5 +25 thats why i want to push it and put a 9.5 wide set

here is a pic of my current set up

thanks for the input guys

First off, get rid of your fender liner. Its useless. Plus, if you plan on going any lower you're going to have to get rid of it anyway. Also, i'd recommend relocating your wiring harness or atleast tucking it up higher.

Anyway, I have these wheels. 9.5 front and 10.5 rear. Run the + 12 if you can get it or just run the +30 with a 15mm spacer and run 225/40. 235/40/18s are too big for the front, but for the rear they're fine.

FYI, the 9.5s all concave the same, its only the back pad that changes.
