Most people that learn that street drifting is not the way to go either
a) Fucked their car up someway doing it. b) Saw someone else fuck their car up. c) Thought about what could go wrong and decided not to do it. Now that you learned your lesson, go get some pics up so we can try and tell you what you have to do.

its especially stupid because you are in california which has track time all the time, but i see where your coming from, any way the frame is probably bent if its in the front or the subframe is tweaked

i hit a curb once, bent the lower control arm, tore the subframe where the control arm bent up into it and busted my axle but you couldnt tell just from looking at it, it actually pushed the u joint through the metal casing under the boot so i had to replace everything, was a good time to upgrade

Just get under there and compare it to the side that isnt bent. You should be able to spot a bent frame easily if that's what it is (providing it's bent enough), I had a car 2 years ago that had a bent frame and I could tell just by looking. You're lucky if its the rear instead of the front though, at least its replaceable. Then you have the opportunity to put new subframe bushings in.

mmm I railed in a curb at ~20 mph (at impact) a few months ago, but it was the front. Ended up with minor rim damage, fucked up caster, and really fucked up steering rack. Ended up having to get a new steering rack and everything else aligned back into place without a problem at the shop.
Like everyone else said, jack up the car and look around at everything connected to the wheel that you hit. If the rear subframe is bent, you can get another one and replace it. |

could be a number of things. NO way to tell. dont bother posting pics unless they are going to be SUPER detailed. just take it to a shop and get an estimate. go from there. if you want, get the parts and fix it yourself after they tell you what you need.

spent like a 100 bucks at the junkyard for a subframe and control arm, got another axle from my buddy for free and then upgraded to rucas and toe rods, and did subframe collars while i was at it

$500... that will get you a complete rear subframe off an r32 that will bolt right up. also gives you a viscous lsd and 5-lug hubs and rotors. same brake setup as a z32

if you're strapped for cash at the moment, junkyard is the way to go. you'll find everything you need for dirt cheap. i had to replace some stuff on my passenger side, after my car decided to kiss the curb. new parts are costly. |

[quote=tv188m;1819105]hey guys thanks for the help... and for those with negetive feed back common!! havent had much experience with 240s and dont know to much bout track events
you said it best right there.... If you dont have much experience that must mean you really dont know much about drifting.. in turn which means you shouldnt have tried to drift.. especially on the off ramp of a FREEWAY! i also see that you were probly on zilvia before this accident.. There is events posted all over the place.. how you dont see them i dont know. Now for some old man fatherly advice.. dont drift in so cal on offramps to the freeway.. your gonna hurt somone or yourself.. if you want to learn more about events.. contact jack or jxn or any of the 626 or touke guys.. im sure they would be more then happy to explain how all the fun drifting stuff takes place..

And to the OP, judging from your initial post, I have no idea which wheel you're talking about. Quote:
If it's the front end you're referring to then, the easiest things to bend are the control arm, inner tie rod, rim, strut, pillow mount, and lastly subframe. On the rear end, the parts that can be bent/damaged are the lower control arm, traction rod, toe adjusting arm, shock, rim, and lastly the subframe. Sometimes you can be real lucky and crack the actual subframe from the force of the impact, or the driveaxle can become damaged. Also check your tranny mount & tranny crossmember for damage, also your diff mounting bushings for cracks, sheared bolts, etc. Just a little piece of advice, STOP DRIVING RWD CARS. You're obviously too stupid to realize that you lack the skill to control the car at anytime besides driving straight. So sell the 240, get a civic/integra, and start redlight racing until you get busted by Johnny Law. Then after about $3000 in fines, 6-18 months license suspension, skyrocketed ins. rates, community service/jail time, and a couple other surprises, see if you want to get back behind the wheel. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors.
