it's plug and play dude. just make sure to get the same kind of cluster you have, if you have HUD or Analog get the same style.

analog
HUD

well u stated u have a sr20det, u need to change ur speed sensor so u can read the speed and tach. i would recommend that u just get a cluster from a junkyard. If it is from a dual cam u shall have to change out the speed sensor to a dual cam speed sensor. either way u need to change the speed sensor if u want to keep ur jdm cluster or just get dual cam cluster and still change ur speed sensor. Basically Get a speed sensor either froma junkyard or shop online and get one. Also dont geta jdm speed sensor just because u have a jdm engine a usdm dual cam cluster probablly would have been cheaper and easyer to get then the jdm FYI

speed sensor will not affect the tach working. I think the wiring was not done right when the SR swap was done. Under the dash by the ECU there is a white plug that leads from the ecu, and plugs into the dash harness. Has that been converted? Is it pluged in? Are the Yellow/red stripe(tach signal) Yellow/green stripe (speed signal) connected?

PS. The JDM and USDM speed sensors are the same no need to swap them

go to frsport.com (they have a tech section on the left hand side of the page, scroll down a bit) and verify that your wiring is correct and that all your plugs are connected properly. If that doesn't work, get the FSM and a test light or mulimeter and start checking for voltages.
