UPDATE: All s14 US chassis are all the same thing whether converted in any fashion or not. The only difference are the interchangeable parts that are on each. However, according to numbers posted in this thread (assuming they are correct from "1999" provided by fliprayzin240sx) the later models came in fewer number and majority automatics. So it really doesn't matter what year or model you go with. you can convert or mod it no matter how u choose and it is the same thing (exterior). Making the whole "its a real kouki hype" irrelevant imo. As long as it looks clean and done right is all that matters. Thanks for the comments that actually pertained to the post.

i really don't understand why. When people sell their cars (not me) they always like to mention its a "official Kouki" even though its literally converted like any other zenki or usdm s14. To me its retarded that people actually buy into that hype.

It doesn't matter, it's ONLY a 240sx. People *think* that there is something special about a "kouki" S14. I don't, "zenki" S14's look 10000000000x better anyways. Nothing like attempting to compliment the round S14 rear end with angular, NOT round headlights. All that really matters is how nice the car is and how well it has been repaired, maintained, and modified. FUCK MILEAGE as well. These are old ass cars, NONE of them are low mileage.

Couldn't agree more. I'm rocking a Zenki and happy with it. Only thing I don't like is that USDM Zenki grills are butt ugly, they don't have projectors and they often get yellow cus of where I live. Other than that I love the Zenki.

actually, Authentic canadian Koukis converted to JDM zenki's with OE knockoff body parts, converted to aftermarket knockoff USDM fenders and widebody that use Zenki headlights with kouki lenses are the best.

The largest appeal of real Kouki S14s vs Zenki converts is that rarity of them. There simply wasnt that many S14 koukis sold and more than half of them were autos. So between the rarity and the fact that they're a couple of years newer...those are the appeal of Kouki S14s.

Ive had a 97 Kouki s14 and my current car is a 95 Kouki convert...Hate my zenki for one and only one thing...stupid blue interior. Koukis only had black for interior.

I think this sums up the value part best. Personally I've always liked the look of zenkis more. I've owned a few and loved them. I own a kouki now (got a stupid deal on it) and didn't care much about the front end, but eventually grew to love it. I should say however, I get a kick when someone asks "is that a real kouki?" and believe me, they almost always ask.

Again, 97/98, almost 60% of that 5800 were autos. Wanna still argue? Wanna know why 96 was a bad year for Nissan? Year they almost went bankrupt and you can blame Honda for selling a bazillion civics and intergras.

What the hell does a kouki conversion and a zenki JDM conversion even mean? Those could mean anything and everything since USDM S14s didnt have the same front end as JDM S14s, both Zenkis and Koukis.

Kouki conversion = zenki converted to kouki?
zenki jdm conversion = usdm 240sx with zenki silvia headlights and navan bumper?

What more proof do you need? We just posted up sales numbers thats been floating around online since 1999. Those numbers are how many of these cars sold. So now imagine atleast half of those are now crushed or missiles...there's not a whole lot left, simple as that.
