Ka24de supercharger
So it's now 2018, and I'm a new to 240s. So the supercharger kit from Knight caught my attention and I have the ability to put it in. I've spent a while looking for the kit but I can't find it.. does any one have any idea where I can find it... Or any other kit...

Yeah I mean this goes back to 2006 in some forms on the ka24de so I know I'm not but I really like the idea and I'm dead on doing it. But like I said I've been searching and no one does it anymore. So I'ma just build it... Just need the adapter plate I guess.

Ya man, there aren't any kits anymore. That's why nobody wastes their time with supercharging. It's a whole lot of custom work to max out at 300 hp. A turbo setup will make that AND more if you're willing.
But if you're dead-set on supercharging, this should get you started: http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=42 Let us know how it goes. |

for the price you are paying for the KA supercharger you could get an sr and throw a few mods on for 300 horsepower and dirt cheap prices

![]() I’m surprised everyone’s still being nice to this thread, take it or leave it. Supercharging is meant for big engines, turbos do way more justice on 4 cylinders. I’m not like everyone else and in love with the SR. If anything just go KA-T, however I’m biased on a 4 cylinder anymore anyways. |

Have you tried contacting this guy to see if he has either the parts or the CAD which he would sell you?

Supercharging anything anymore is a huge waste of time.
I even try to talk LS 7L owners out of it. points 1. supercharger reduces fuel economy. 2. supercharger absorbs rotational energy "torsional" or torque is LOST because of the belt, it means a 600hp engine is now a 500hp engine with the wear and tear of 600hp. 3. the belt system tends to beat the front engine bearings. cons: belt system maintenance belt alignment and tension critical can't easily turn it up or down with a control knob generates more heat, less efficient method of forced induction poor support for unsupported applications (rare apps more likely to fail) pro: generally easier to install than a turbo Thing is, you won't even GET the one and only pro they offer, ease of installation. Even a turbo would be easier to install on a KA thanks to the 999999 off the shelf parts that would make it work. |

![]() ^^^ That bulk of metal is going to be hot as hell. You really lucked out this day and age, with the amount of turbo parts available for the KA. As the horse has already been beat in less than 24hrs, just go turbo.

This is one of those hipsters that won't go turbo cause everyone else does and they have to be different, and he thinks he is some type of genius that will be able to make it work better than anyone before.
I say go for it, can't wait to see how far you make it. Willing to bet it gets sold for parts before doing anything spectacular. Sent from my SM-N920W8 using Tapatalk |
