Ebay S14 SR20DET Front Mount Intercooler Kit Install
So, I needed something fast and cheap for my car to run ASAP.
WARNING: If you do not have patience, do not get this kit, spend more and buy Greddy or ARC if your a baller. Go under your car and find your mounting points for the brackets. ![]() ![]() They are you regular 10mm bolt on the chassis (ex. headlights) Do not use these brackets, they are too flimsy and I wasted my time cutting them. ![]() Next, take your sawzall or comparable tool and cut the frame ends as so. ![]() A simple L shape will do on both sides. Go to the end of the 2nd indent. Bolt the stronger brackets down along with the IC. You will need to extend the hole up and to the side in order to use both holes in the chassis. A dremel tool is necessary for this. ![]() ![]() Here is where you run into problems. Once the IC is set, you have to check for headlight clearance. IT HITS!!! Please do not pull your hair out. The light will not fit in place. ![]() ![]() ![]() Time to make more adjustments. Use the bungs supplied with longer bolts and use them as spacers for the bottom as so... ![]() Now, hopefully you can handcuff your hands somewhere safe because guess what. IT STILL HITS!!! Argh... take the sawzall back out and cut the bungs off... ![]() ![]() This is how it will fit. It's pretty big. ![]() Ghetto stack of how the bumper will cover most of the IC. ![]() For those of you who love compressor surge and want to run their piping, do so like this... ![]() ![]() I still have part of my greddy setup, so I bolted it up as so... ![]() ![]() I will NOT cut through the battery try, instead I will go through the braces... ![]() ![]() ![]() There is enough room and piping left for me to go this route. If you go through the battery tray, measure the center of the whole to be 80 mm from the bottom and 110 mm from the side. Drill a pilot hole and then use a hole saw to cut out the perfect hole. The EBay kit even gives you the rubber edge protector. Bolt everything down using their cheap ass "t-bolt clamps." I have not finished mounting the top section, but I am probably going to do some zip tie phenomenom. Enjoy!!! Wishing you all the best, Carlos Doria |

Crapstacular! Sucks to see you going through all that funk, is it the XSPower intercoler kit? I guess I'm going to have to deal with the same craptastic fitment in a few months. Thanks for the tutorial with clear pictures, atleast now I know what I will be dealing with.

Great write up carlos but....
Hotside piping is still a bit long for my taste coldside would have been better if you went with a smaller battery and made a custom tray for it thus allowing you to make a shorter/less bends piping. let us know tho how it turns out as I am interested to see the results of your piping after your work that you have done. -Chris
