Q45/Z e-brake with R33 cables on S14

You like that mix? Its like a car orgy.

anyway, I bought the cables, and I have everything installed.

I've HAD everything installed for almost half a year now. haha

However, my e-brake cable is NOT tight. I still have the boner e-brake handle in order to lock the wheels all the way.. and I've tightened the locking nut as much as it wants to go.

I'm thinking 1 of 2 things:

1. The shoes are really worn down. (didn't seem that bad when I put them on.)

2. I'm going to need to cut and re-clamp some e-brake cable.

Anybody else with this set-up have this problem? How did you fix it?
If I can get under the car sometime soon, I'll snap some pics of how I routed the lines or something.
