26 itb's on a 25?

I was browsing through gavster's build and came across a little project he had going on but x'd. I was wondering if the whole 26 itb setup would bolt up to the 25 head because by looking at the pics the runners line up perfectly or would cutting and welding be necessary?

That IS a 25. He's asking about putting the 26 manifold on it.

Something has to be done.

Probably the best bet would be to cut down all the flanges and simply use couplers to connect it.

I can see why he abandoned the project though - too much heartache for too little return.

the 26 throttles and the 25 head are just a little off. You can see the difference when comparing the gaskets. I think its the two middle ones. Once you get past that hurdle, the complexity of running the throttle bodies will make you not want to do this anymore.

it requires modification. you can see that he used part of the 25 manifold where it attaches to the head and also is running 1 throttle body. not worth the headache.
