Best replacement 02 sensor for 95 s14 auto
Well my car has ogne sliglhtly over the 130k mi mark, and I'm as usual trying to stay on top of maintenance. Well I've cleaned my maf, always keep oil change, new wires, plugs, etc. etc. One thing I realized that I haven't changed or that the prevous owners hadn't changed, is the 02 sensor.
I was just wondering how many are there on a 95 s14 auto (KA). I see the obvious on the exhaust manifold, but I just got done reading there's 2 ![]() Whether one or two I want it/them replaced. So what the best performing plug and play sensors, meaning no wiring? Thanks for any help. |

the second one is used for OBD stuff and its located around the cat.
Once you get under the car, you'll see it. |

With the 95 motor it only has a single wire front 02 sensor. I would recommend a denso or ntk sensor. Usually the denso is easier to get a hold of. Since its only 1 wire it uses a male/female electrical plug. Cant screw up the install with just one wire. The front one is the one that will make the biggest difference, so just replace that one.
Your local auto store should have them in stock for about $15-$30 |

Cool thanks, I saw an ad for denso sensors in an old import mag. I'' try reading up on the ngk. Just wondering, but is the reason the front o2 is more important because that's what the ecu reads off, and the second is only useful for usb things such as scanners?
I'll definitely get the front, but just incase I want to do the one after, do you know if thats single wire too? |

The rear is a 3 wire I believe. Its used just to make sure that the cat is doing its job. The front is used as the signal for the ecu for all the smog shit. That pretty basic basic theory of it. Im too lazy to look up the right answer, but you can google it and check it for yourself.
The rear sensor with the connector usually goes for about 60-120 |
