a long time ago I had my Civic transported from the CA to PA and they some how bent/ruined the underside-trunk area. Also they drove it through some low laying branched and scratched up the paint. It was not a good experience. Also, they gave me all sorts or excuse why it was over a month delayed.
My suggestion is if you absolute have to transport your car then get an enclosed car transporter. Else rent a one way Uhaul with a car hitch. good luck |

Hey man, from experience if you want to do no work and have it taken care of....
Larry at Excel Exports (602) 485-36084050 E Cactus Rd # 212 Phoenix, AZ If you want to do it yourself, and save some money... www.uship.com You make your own listing and what not, save money, and you are going straight to the source. Its like craigslist for truckers. |

its an 2001 Audi A4 2.8 my dad blew up the tranny, he said i can have it for free if i can make it disappear. ive already got it sold up here, i just need it here. not really nice enough to justify an enclosed trailer

You can't have a car cover on a car on an open trailer, you actually can't have anything on the car including luggage.
Honestly, just get an open trailer truck, there is no problems going that route. The trucker will have an inspection sheet when he gets there to note any damage and he will use the same sheet when it arrives to you to ensure that he made no damage during the transporting of the vehicle. Any damages are covered by his company or his insurance. You will have to disclose to whoever you are setting it up with that the car is non-opp (not opperable) since the tranny is blown, but...tell them it has wheels/brakes/everything it needs to get on/off a truck. There will be about a $100 fee for using the wench. The car won't be scratched by branches up top because they will put it on the bottom because their wench is on the bottom and they have no way of putting it up top lol. Just make sure that they can fit their big ass truck in to pick up the car otherwise they will call for a smaller tow truck and that is an extra cost. Lastly, uship does work quickly believe it or not, its pretty big. Larry will also get you taken care of, but look for it to cost $600 to $1000 most likely. |

I work in a transport company.
First of all, its Enclosed, not inclosed. Winch not wench - I hope at least, cuz if they're using some wench, get that shit on video!!!! LOL yeah, in-ops are more, but they put them on the upper decks as well as lower ones. Depends on a transporter. If you get it for less than 800 including inop fee, you're getting a steal. Quote:
as far as the personal possesions in the car, its a federal law. |
